Hi,

Im doing some infills on some nails tomorrow that have been done at a NNS salon,at the same time this ladies mentioned that her daughters had NNS nails done, shes taken them off (dont know how at the moment?)and her natural nails are really sore.

Shes asked if I do manicures.Would she benefit from manicures?Or Im thinking of selling her some solar oil and Bio Exeutive base, would she benefit from this?Would I be able to offer her nno Bio overlays, how would it adhere to her trashed nails?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated,I really want to help this girl.Im going to take my camera along , and hopefully will be able to post a pic.

she will benefit from a manicure, it's always a great moment and you will "feed" jer hands and nails anyway.

as for your bio gel adhering, since I don't use the product I wouldn't know.

Bio is pretty good at not lifting so its worth a go....just mention that the results greatly depend on the condition of her natural nails to cover yourself.

Ok thanks,I think I may offer her a free demo on a finger to try the Bio..Id rather do this than for her to payout and its no good,or a course of manicures..ok I havent had much experience with luxury manicures,I dont do paraffin wax as Im mobile,I have heated mitts,if I use them and some oil ,what would be the best type to use,any ideas please.:)

I've used Bio before on nails that have had allsorts of dodgy stuff on previous, and its been great for them!

I wouldn't extend, just overlay. She'll be used to tougher extensions - Bio won't last as well and whilst she won't damage her nails at all with Bio, they'll probably get back to good health quicker if left short, to grow naturally, (or extend in a few weeks)

Give them a good manicure first and use executive base, and vitamin dose if you have any, before applying overlay. She'll need to do her aftercare, and wear gloves, but her nails will be tons better if she looks after them now and satys away from the nasty stuff!

Look forward to the pics!

I would def do bio sculpture overlay and would use dark colours as they look great on shorter nails

Im still unsure of what type of manicure to do..help please:rolleyes:.

I'd just do a gentle clean and prep....I wouldn't soak. I would put lashings of solar oil all over the nail and cuticle for a few minutes though, let it sink in a bit, then thoroughly clean the nail, apply exec base/vit dose and overlay. Bio doesn't need a particularly dehydrated nail, but you need to shift oil off the nail plate.

The short dark overlays are a good idea.....Bio dark colours, like no 60 look fab on shortish dark, squared off nail.

Mmm thats what I was worried about if I done a luxury mani with oil it may soak into the nail and cause the Bio to lift,ok thanks for that, just hope the girl s in when I do her mums nails ah,Ive just popped me camera in my bag..so she better be there.

I thought thats maybe what you were thinking Debbie. I think the oil in this case will do more good than harm and as long as you don't leave it hours, you'll be ok. I'd leave it on maybe 5 mins and then really sanitise the nails. I feel sure she'll see the benefit a couple of weeks down the line!

Can somebody tell me or point me in the right direction on how to load a picture on this thread please.:confused:

I managed to get a photo of the young girls nails, but unfortunatly she was in a dash to get out so didnt get round to having a proper chat with her, although I did tell her mum how I could help her.

Debbie you can just add it is an attachment to a post.....just look for the little paperclip symbol...same as on your email usually, and then follow the prompts

Whichever way you do it, make sure its below about 100k in size as too big and it won't upload.

Ouch they look so sore i have a lady who came to me for her gel toenails she has been having her fingernails done at one of those salons. She told me her fingernails hurt so she wanted me to do them when they need doing again i bet that's what they look like under the acrylic. I don't know if i will be looking forward to that she said they do last well they stay on for 8 weeks oh my god mine wont last that long. x

I removed a set at the salon y/day, the nails were in a terrible state and when i got to the free edge it just crumbled off.....

I couldnt soak these so i filed/buffed them off, took forever & smelt discusting.....

The client required a new set of nails (shes one of the dressers in the salon) i advised her that they may be in a mess underneath.....And they sooooo were...

Plenty of solar oil, they hardened up after a couple of hours .....

She had a brand new set today and loved them.....All the clients from this NSS are coming to me now lol
