Is there any treatment i could have done at a salon or by a mobile therapist that would get rid of blackheads? Them pore strips are rubbish! lol. I'm going away August/Sep an im hopin to have nice clear skin if i can lol.

Thanks x

Book a facial at a local salon - if possible get a recommendation - and when booking ask them specifically if they do extractions - and follow their homecare advice

Oooo extractions are them litle needles lol. Does it hurt? x

No needles. It doesn't necessarily hurt... depends on the skill of the therapist and the products / equipment used. Go for it!

Thats doesn't sound too promising what exactly is it? i thought it was the needles? i just looked in my Lorraine Nordmann level 2 book an the ''extractors'' are like little needles which ''superficially'' pierce the epidermis am i right?

LOL no babe.I'm not sure what you are looking at, maybe electrolysis needles?
Extractions are part of a facial for the removal of comodones (black heads)
The therapist uses her fingers for this. It has to be done in the right way to avoid making the hole where the black head is,any bigger. Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment as this can make it easier to get them out xxx

I have loads of little ones all over my chin an over my nose, they seem to b ''imbedded'' into the skin rather than raised but still have the same excretion ''stuff'' (YUK! lol) a normal black head does. Would the therapist be able to get rid of al these or am i stuck with them?

I know i head years ago about this diamond pen liek thing that was used across the skin which got rid of all blackheads i can't remember what that was called , if u know what it is, if so what is it an is it any good? xxx

Yes what you have described are blackheads. You will be able to reduce them if you use the right products and go for regular facials. You wont get rid of them ALL in one go. Direct high frequency treatments are brill for drying them up!
Haven't heard of the pen thing though. Maybe someone else can help you there chick xxx

Extracting these kind of blackheads which are sebum filled open pores does no good what so ever they come back almost in days and more often than not there will be more of them because all that squeezing and fiddling has stimulated them even more.Think back i bet you had less before you started squeezing and stripping.
A therapist will get them out for a while and if done well you won't end up bruised or have any broken capillaries but they won't stay away for long.
You need to find a long term solution in more gentle skincare, yes a professional facial is brilliant but i would say no thanks to the extractions.
If the blackheads are the really hard ones often on their own then they do need removing but the other little ones are not.

Just drink plenty of water, try not to overeat fatty oily foods and exfoliate with a lather based face wash or maybe a professional product some salons retail them.
And do not try squeeze them yourself.xx

I bought St Ives Swis Formula Apricot Scrub, Blemish Fighter. It says its sutibale for oily/blemish prone skin.

I've heard alot about the St Ives products and how good they are. I can't really afford a facial at the moment as i'm saving very hard to go on holiday.

I shall give this a go an fight temptation to squeeze them, i know it sounds sick but i love squeezin them lol! I think its theraputic! lol.

Thanks for ur adivce xxx

medical microdermabrasion - preferably a course (x6) , will definitely remove if performed correctly. I am NOT talking crystal clear. You need to opt for 'medical' .

Thats sounds quite expensive lol how much am i looking at? If u dont know say roughly?

Thanks x
