Hi All

I am having problems with nno & toes......

I am following the CND training to the letter but some with some clients the Brisa is just not staying put.....nails have just been coming off clean....

I placed some toes on last saturday and by tuesday they were all off....

I have completed 2 nno's & 3 sets of toes that have been fine.....

Is this common with Gel ? Is it nail shape/type?

Any advice would be gratefully recieved.....

hiya hun xx

are you 100% removing the cuticle remover...??

you remembered the bonder and to make sure the first coat is really 'worked' in?

Are you using the brisa lamp?

Thx Angie n Amb

Well as far as i am aware I am removing all the cuticle oil (scrubfreshing like a mad woman) but will be extra cautious from now on....That may be the culprit, maybe im missing some...

Yes remebered bonder & worked in first coat really well in all areas......

Yes Brisa lamp, brand new....

I cant understand why some are staying on & some are not....The nail is completely clean when it comes off too, that would suggest that im not applying/prepping maticulously enough or failing to remove all debris/remover......

I did a set today one one of the dressers and went slowly through each step so i will wait to see how that set holds up..

I can still here the educators voice in my head lol

Thanks for your help, I need to sort this before I lose confidence in it & i really love the look of the gel so want to continue to offer it....I know its early days for me but I worry so mcuh about getting it right ...

are you using cuticle remover, then removing lots of non living tissue?
then removing the remover with citri soak mixed with water??
again,
bonder, ( sparingly) then really scrub first layer in really thin layer?
sorry if you are doing all this????

Im removing the cuticle remover with scrubfresh......

Now thinking about it, im not asking all of them to rinse their hands after prep..... Hmmm maybe thats it????? But having said that some of them that have just had scrubfresh have stayed on .......

If some sets are staying put then it must be down to my prep....

Its frustrating me lol

you must neutralise the cuticle remover with citrisoak/water mix, or suchlike,
just a little squirt on a lint free pad is enough and wipe all around,

are you using a metal pushie/curette/probe thingy to remove non living tissue???

240 gritting the nail first too?

Dont OVER WET the nails with scrubfresh, and yep definately citrisoak it off.

amb x

Bet thats what it is ...... Yes I am using curette & 240 grit to start (textbook stuff)......

Ill see if citrisoak will do the job..... It must be the washing off that im messing up on...

Thx guys ..... Feel slightly happier now, was about to ditch the Gel and tell em all i've ran out lol xx

Just an update for you lovely geeks....

The Gel client returned after 2 weeks and the result was not brilliant but it was ok .....

1 missing overlay, flaking at the sides of some of the nails + usual growth, looking at it, I think I applied each layer too thinly...

She has booked for a rebalance on Saturday so ill update again.....I have been using the citrus wash as part of all prep now so time will tell if its working....

I need to build the overlay up a little i think...

I will remain confident with the gel and carry on until i get it right ....

BTW my gel toes have been on for 3 weeks + and they seem just fine...

toes always are hun.....they don't wash up or make beds....

give me a shout if you need any help...xxxx
