Hi, finally booked for my conversion day in Leeds to brisa. I've paid for the master pack, as I haven't done gel in yonks and will be starting from scratch. I'm going to go for the cut the cord deal too and take in my old gel lamp from college. I am totally new to CND, I use ezflow products for everything else.

I'm trying to figure out how much extra money i'll need on the day, I haven't got much spare wonga as this impending baby is costing a fortune! I know the kit will contain all the essentials, but is there other bits that will help me?

I'm not buying any coverage gels for now, as I asked on a previous thread, and I was wisely advised to hang on and see what my trainer does with the gels on the day. I'm also not buying shimmers or bolds as I am getting them for my birthday :)

So I need to know if i'll need to buy the following on the day...

I see you get cuticle remover, am I right in thinking this needs removing with 'citrusoak'? I've only ever done dry prep.

There is one brush in the pack, Do you suggest getting another?

Soft white gel?

Extra files, or will I be able to use my ezflow equivalents, or is this down to personal preference?

I've yapped on about brisa and gels for weeks on here, but I just want to get it right! many thanks x:green:

Hi there, I got the master pack for cut the cord also. As I have done a 1-2-1 iv used my kit and I would say that all you would prob need more of is hands down pads, and citrusoak with pump bottle? Then its just your tools. hth x

thanks, that helps me loads, you are a gem x

I would definitely go for soft white paint on gel, and some clear performance tips. My first brush lasted over two years so I wouldn't suggest getting another, but then I never get mine anywhere near Scrubfresh HTH

Soooo avoid the scrubfresh! I'm not cnd at all but I do have some scrubfresh and an old tint brush for tidying up french polsh smiles, so I can imagine it wrecks the hairs! To be honest i'm not worrying about tips for now. The tips I use for my l+p are fantastic, so I think i'll go with the trial pack in the brisa kit and figure out whether I want to use my current ones or the cnd ones. If that makes sense! I'll budget for soft white paint on gel too then. Thanks!

With the master pack you get 3 trays of different type tips anyway you also get some white gel paint as well just in case you can't afford the soft white. You do need the citrusoak/water solution to remove the cuticle remover (cuticle remover comes with the master pack) if you happen to be doing your course on 15 April so am I so you can use my citrusoak, so thats one less thing to worry about on the day. They do sell pumps for just a few quid and obviously the citrusoak. Also you get a sampler pack of files and 300 clear forms so thats another thing you dont need to worry about on the day. So if you decided to buy some citrusoak, a pump and hands down pads (as suggested earlier) you would have some change from £20.

hope that helps

just wanted to know how much is it costing to do this as i havent done gels since i qualified in june last yr and am a bit rusty at them

Thanks a bunch chick, I'm on the 9th April though! At least I have a rough idea on prices, I'm completely non cnd so I hadn't a clue on prices. You are a star, thanks for your sound advice x
