Calgel Nails

I have just started doing calgel nails on clients and finding I'm having a lot of problems. First of all with overlays, they're peeling?? Im making sure the free edge is sealed so don't understand why after two weeks they're peeling. Also my tips keep falling off, again after two weeks, can anyone help?? Don't seem to be having any luck with these, it's always complaints? Also, why I'm applying tip with the calgel resin, the resin is flooding the cuticle making it white, I was told to apply quite a lot of resign to avoide air bubbles, but when i just put a little, it's not enough? Can anyone help, I'm struggling. Thanks.:|

The best advice i can offer is to ring Calgel and a trainer will go through every aspect with you.Go on another training day if you can.There is quite a lot on why Calgel peels on here so do a search.I can assure you when applied properly over a properly prepped nail it doesnt come off so it is something you or your clients are doing.
I do not understand why you are flooding the cuticle or Eponychium with adhesive .It shouldnt be anywhere near. A tip should not cover too much of the nail. do you mean the side walls, in which case you are applying too much.This may be a lot to do with your lifting.Maybe get your tipping and prep right before you even think of applying Calgel.

Where are they starting to peel from?
Do you remove the shine from the nail plate when applying?
Is this on all customers or just one ? i find some people can not go a DAY longer than 2 weeks yet some people can go 6 weeks!
Are you sure your client isnt picking?

Only advice i can give you here is learn how to sculpt - pronto - all your problems will be solved (well nearly all:green i never did find Biosculpture successfull over tips and have never tried Calgel but would assume i'd get the same probs as its a very similar gel.

sorry i cant help you yet as i do may calgel training this weekend, but im soooo in love with the calgel products :green: iv done my toe's and they have been on over 4 weeks and not chipped and look just like they have just been done. if i was you i would master putting the tip's on, if your flooding the tip and the resin's going into the cuticles your using way to much and this will make it lift do you use the little nozel over the resin bottle so you can control were its going? only use a grain of rice size and spead it with the nozzel. ring calgel they will help see what your doing wrong

Thanks guys for that, I think I'll call calgel, they kindly offered help. I'm getting so many compliments about how they're looking but just really want them to last, I know they do as the set I did at the calgel training lasted almost 5 weeks!. Anyway thanks again!

I don't use Calgel, I use Bio Sculpture..... but I have to say I am very impressed with Calgels Customer Service ....well done Karen for getting back so quickly ......I will be taking a look on line at your products as I know they are supposedly comparable to Bio!!
