A question for Lori and anyone else who has used both. I've watched the video TWBOW and I'm trying to spread my Berins cream wax just as thin as the Cirepil Ease, but it wasn't wanting to go on thinly at all. Now the Berins tin was a little taller than my double wax warmer allowed for but I thought the wax was the consistancy it needed to be just from playing with it and by how it dripped or came of the spatula. I thought maybe the wax just wasn't hot enough, but I don't want it to be too hot, ya know. Is this a heat thing with the Berins or is this how its supposed to be?

They are exactly alike, so be sure you have the spatula at that 90% angle and use enough pressure. Also, because the can is a little taller, turn the heat up just a smidge. The pressure is one of the true key points in getting the application correct and this is on both products.

Thank you Lori! I love the video by-the-way! What I found kinda funny is that when I watched the video I realized I was doing everything right. Usually you hear of people that are doing a certain technique the wrong way, or their application or pull is wrong. I was doing it all right! BUT I do watch the video right before I have a client because its amazing how much confidence I walk away with every time. I'm still working on my speed though. I had a full Brazilian in 45 minutes the other day which I thought was awesome in my book, lol. And it took me an hour to do two brows and a half leg. Seems slow to me, but what do you think? I usually average 15 minutes for brows, maybe 30-45 minutes for half leg, depending on the client. I have confidence in what I do, but my confidence in time is not quite there yet.

Is there a video link or have you bought the vid?

I woud be interested to see it x

I bought the video.

Lori, what is the strip wax that you use in the dvd called? And does it really not set at all? Watching how you could spread it so far before removing amazed me, is that exclusive to Berins?

You should be able to spread most strip waxes wafer thin. Here's how you do it.

Make sure your wax is heated hot enough so it's really thin (but not hot enough to burn)
Load your spatula
Wipe the wax on the body like butter on toast.
Place your spatula behind the wax and hold your spatula either like a knife or better still, tilt it backwards (not forwards as most people do). Then without hesitation, put pressure on your spatula and spread the wax all the way down.
Immediately wipe and spread again with the wax that's left on your spatula.

The biggest problem that I see is the waxer being too slow. Remember that the second you take your wax out of the heater and onto the spatula, it's started to set so don't hesitate.

Load
Wipe (on the wipe bar)
Wipe (on the body)
Spread
Wipe (on the body)
Spread
Repeat

Cover the entire area that you are waxing. Don't stop half way down as you're spreading.

I actually use roller wax at the moment (although I'm happy to use pot & spatula) but I find that if I apply to a whole half leg then it is alredy setting up before I have removed it all. I think I'm fairly fast with a strip so it's not that, I just assumed it was the wax.
