Hi everyone,
I'm wondering what some techs different opinions on this are. When you are prepping the nail plate for polish, do you use polish remover or a nail prep product like Scrubfresh?
I prefer to use Scrubfresh but I know some use a non-acetone polish remover. Do you think there's a difference?

Thanks!

Scrubfresh will not only cleanse the nailplate of pathogens and dehydrate it, it will also leave behind pathogen-fighters to work under your enamel.

Thanks Fiona! I can see the importance of that while prepping for an enhancement. But, do you think you need to have the pathogen fighters before polish?

Don't get me wrong - I'm all about the Scrubfresh! The reason I'm asking is to help build some strength behind my arguement about why I use it. I know others who don't think it's necessary and polish remover costs less so they use that.

Nail polish removers contain oils to moisten the nail plate which will prevent it from adhering to its best.
Scrubfresah will dehydtrate the nail making polish last much longer

hth xx

A dehydrator is best, there are more on the market than Scrubfresh though !
.......Mundo nail plate cleanser, EZ Bond and Nail Pure, to name but a few!!

You can use any dehydrator tho its easier and more cost effective to buy from your regular suppliers. I use Scrub fresh and have also used mundo and find scrubfresh easier to get hold of as I buy my mundo cleaners in bulk. I never use NPR as mine as oils in as its quite gentle.
