I have a lady who desperately wants eyelash extensions but she cant lay totally flat, do you think I could prop the bed up a little and stand maybe? (hmm? thats a long time to stand for, especially if leaning over the bed. I think my arms would ache to)

anyone got any ideas?

Do you ever ask yourself why my client? why me? :o

Actually I never lay my clients totally flat. I have a high chair and work fine like that. In fact I think it is easier and the lashes lie better. It's what you are used to I guess.

Hi Angie!
I don't think it will be possible to do eyelashes for your client without laying her flat, I wouldn't recommend you standing over her that will kill your back, neck arms & hands! My neck & back ache doing them normally as I'm sure you are the same:?: I know this is not what your client wants to hear but you have to look after yourself, not good having back & neck problems...! I already suffer with R.S.I in my hands & fingers its painful at times:sad: Hope this helps :D

Hi Angie,
I had the same problem but mine was a client who is wheel chair bound. Her chair can be tipped to approx 45 degree angle but that is it. I managed by using a bar stool to semi perch on and it worked well. i think if you can get enough height for your own position you should be fine. It does make it a little more tricky though. Good luck hth xx

bar stool with a back xx

I lash my pregnant ladies sitting up slightly, but it can be hard on your back. I would def only do an hour set!! Could she lay with a pillow, and a pillow under her knees so that her back is not under pressure? (or is it not a back prob)

Hi. I have just done a full set of lashes on a client who could not lie flat due to servere dizzyness caused by meningitis as a teen. She told me that the last salon she had gone to could not accomadate her. It is harder and does take longer, but I feel every client, no matter what there disability should be accomadated. She was tilted, nearly upright. My couch can go up and down so i put it up right high of the ground!. I prefered to stand and then move around her. Her head was tilted to the side that I was working on. My working trolly just followed me around the room. Anyway, hope it all makes sense. I actually found it easy, it did take longer but well worth it in the end. My back did ach abit but she was such a lovley client. Well worth it. Massage will sort it!!!
