Clients: weird/rude things they have said and strange request

Is your boss simply the salon owner/manager? My biggest peeve is being thought of like that. She would have gotten a death stare that's for sure!

She's the salon owner yeah.
Not a beauty therapist just did a weeks training in bt or something ridiculous

One of my clients smokes one after the other when I'm doing her hair! She's really racist aswell. I think I might sack her lol x

It's tough sitting there listening to horrible comments. Some of my clients can be sooooo judgmental. And, not that this is rude, but why do so many people think color and age are related? Don't ask me if taupe is appropriate for you at your age and if it's okay for you to wear it... if you like the dang color then wear it!

How in the world do you "sack" a client? I would love to know so I can do it to a few:wink2:

In the past I've said the following to clients I no longer want.
I think it might be better if you looked for a salon better able to cope with your need for flexibility/specialist skills as I feel I am unable to meet those needs. Good luck with your search.
And then I politely say goodbye and put the phone down.
If they email me I repeat the above and end the email with "this correspondence is now closed"
Thankfully I've had to do it only twice; once on the salon side and once on the distribution side.

A lot if my new clients ask me "is this your only job" I feel offended when they ask this because its kind of saying "is it enough to live off"... If only they knew

Iv had that too "is this all you do" eh yeah.. alongside having another business and four kids ya tit!
