Hi
Was just wondering if someone can help me I have booked on to do the CND foundation course(which I am very excited about). Have noticed that on the back page of the education brouche it recommeneds some books.
So was just wondering if anyone had got the books and if they was useful while you trained?
The books they recommend are as follow's

Nailclass by Gigi Rouse*

Nail structure & produc chemistry by Doug Schoon

Complete nail technician by Marian Newman*

* These two look as if they would be useful. Not sure about the other one.

So any advice we be great

Thanks

Kirsty

They are all completely different.

'nailclass' focuses on the techniques needed to do beautiful nails and is a great Bible after you leave the course and forget things.

Nail Structure & Product Chemistry is a MUST and will give you (in an easy and understandable way) the low down on how your product works and is ESSENTIAL reading for anyone who is serious about doing nails.

Marian's book focuses on the business of nails and all the essential things to help you in business.

Frankly, you need them all.

Nailclass by Gigi Rouse and Complete nail technician by Marian Newman are essential reads I have both and they have been extremely useful.

I still, to my shame, have not got Nail structure & product chemistry by Doug Schoon but I intend to buy it sooner rather than later. I do read articles I come across and if you google Doug Schoon you will find some useful links. Also go to Doug Schoon - www.DougSchoon.com - technical articles for nail professionals for online videos and PDF's.

hope this helps!

ps good luck with your course you will love it, let us all know how you get on

I don't have nailclass yet but its very highly recommeded by so many people! Its next on my list to get. I have the other two and agree they are essential. I refer to them both all the time. Check out your local library hun you will be suprised what they have, i got Marian's book from there and kept on renewing it till someone else wanted it lol then i bought my own copy! I love the way Doug Schoon's book is written, its quite witty and so readable, knowledge is power as they say :green:

Thanks everyone for your reply's.
I will have to get all three of them I think. I had read reviews on amazon about Nailclass and Complete nail technician, but could not find one on nail structure and product. Thanks for all you help.
I can't wait to start my course, which i have got to wait till end of July.
