Hi all

Well I've been having a little break from nails at the moment, as my current circumstance meant I haven't got the time I need at the moment to devote to nails. I'm hoping to pick it up again next year. However I'm still checking salongeek regularly to keep myself 'in the loop' and I'm already planning ahead to next year to when I think I'll be able to get back into it. I originally qualified in gel with nsi but have never been really that confident in my ability and hadn't built up a big client base. I had been thinking on and off of doing a cnd course when I come back to doing nails. I don't know whether to just do a conversion though or start from scratch again with a foundation, as I'm sure there's things I don't know but I should know, about using tips, prep etc. Also, I'd like to give l&p a go again - I did originally try learning this with NSI but couldn't get to grips with it so converted to gel instead.
What exactly is covered on the cnd conversion course?
Many thanks

I would ring Sweet Squared (Creative UK distributor) and discuss it with the team there. I do know that if you are qualified tech, with a recognised qualification, you can do a conversion course but it may be that they will have other suggestions.
They are very helpful and you'll get the best information that way, the No is 0845 210 6060

Thanks, I'll give them a call. I just don't know which to do for the best. My other options are having a 1 to 1 with my NSI tutor, (very local to me and would keep costs down), or perhaps doing a conversion with Sam Biddle from Ezflow (also local to me). I know I definitely want to go with a different provider for mani and pedi - I qualified through NSI using Sparitual, but I know I want to definitely change the products I use for those. Again, was considering CND or Ezflow (does anyone know if Ezflow do mani and pedi courses??)
All these decisions and I'm not even coming back to nails probably until the new year!!

Thanks.

Maybe you need a fresh start using products you are more happy with?
CND and Ezflow have a great range of mani/pedi products.
For training this is a useful link for Ezflow.

Sam Biddle is a very talented and inspiring tech, you wouldn't go far wrong having a 1-2-1 with her.

Maybe a 1-2-1 would be a good idea in your case. Although if you want to change products obviously a conversion course would be the way to go.

I have to say that when I converted to Creative I was incredibly lucky as I was the only one on the course, so had a 1-2-1 anyway which was brilliant.

Yep, I know I'm a jammy cow!:green:

My options at the moment are:

Book a 1 to 1 with my nsi trainer first, and try and sort out any issues (local, probably cheapest option)

Book a conversion with CND for Brisa

Book a conversion with Sam Biddle (also local)

I still haven't decided! I def want to change my mani/pedi range though. Does anyone else use Ezflow for mani/pedi? If so, what do you think of it?
