I am looking to do the l&p conversion course in february, however i feel my acrylic nail technique is absolutely pants. i havent done acrylics for ages and when i do have a practice (mainly on myself) i just cant seem to get the actual application neat enough and they take me for ever!!
I explained on the phone that i hadn't done it for a while and the woman assured me that everything would be covered again on the conversion course, but i'm just wondering whether i need to be up to a certain standard before i do the conversion course. I dont really want to do the foundation course as ive got a level 3 in nail technology so covered all the a&p and health and safety etc.
Has anyone done this course? Will it be a struggle if i'm not particularly confident in the application of the acrylic? :irked:

Don't worry, they'll take good care of you! xx

Hi I done the L&P course last August and it was great. I love the product so much I have conversion for brisa Gel booked ofr Feb 09. I was the same hadn't done nails for a while. But they way creative teach you is great.. Just enjoy and plenty practice.. Good luck xx

That's fab thanks; was just worried incase i was thrown out of the course!!! lol!!
Looking forward to it though, yay!:)

Hi, I did it in Nov (you can read about it in my blog), and I had the same worries as I'd only been qualified for 2 months. I thought my application was pants on the day, esp. using CND stuff as the ratio was diff. and I got bubbles, but the educator gives you lots of tips throughout the day on how to improve.
The worst that could happen on the day is that you don't pass, but then I'm sure you can go on a 1 to 1 to brush up on the things you need more help with, then they'll pass you.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
