Hi

I need advice again please.
I am really serious about going into the nail industry but keep getting conflicting opinions on which course to go for.
Before I found this brilliant website I was certain I was going to do a home learning course with essential nails, but since reading all the threads everyone seems to be promoting creative nail designs.

So basically is what I'm asking is should I pay double and go to a training college for 5 days or pay half and do it in my own time without booking time off work?

I hope all of you techs who have been here already will be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

I personally would choose a classroom based course over a home learn one. I learn better that way and I am more motivated in that environment.

How do you learn best? After all we all learn differently.

The other factor is confidence, do you think you will have the confidence to work on paying clients after your home learn course? Because if not you would end up paying out more for an additional course.

I know its not a definitive answer but I hope it helps a little.

Thanks for the advice noticeablenails, that's worth thinking about.
From doing NVQs in a different trade I have been told that I am a visual learner.
Mrs geek, sorry for being dim but how do I view my home page?

Hi Diane,

I did the creative course 6 years ago and have not looked back since,

its probbaly more expensive but its so worth it!!

Click on "My profile" at the drop down menu at the top of the page, then click on "Your profile" x

Thank you marioned, don't think I can do that on my mobile so will have to wait til I get to a proper pc.
Thanks kate, is the qualification recognised in most salons?
Cos I've heard people say that essential nails isn't recognised / accepted

I would 100% recommend you train with Creative hun....
It may be more expensive...but it is worth every single penny, Total value for your money xx

 You should def go to college - home based learning will only reinforce the skills you already have with no real constructive feedback. You'll also get time to practise on a real hand when you take a model with you. I went to my local college first and then did various other private courses. There's a lot of competition out there and with everything, you get what you pay for, so if you can afford the college based course then that's what you should do..... but that's just my opinion!
Hope you do well and good luck. Net

Buy the best education you can afford....

Personally speaking cnd education is fantastic x

Hi hun sent you a rather long PM hope it helps xx

100 times agree))) Creative rocks))))

I think that a classroom course is the best way to go. I did a creative course and it was a good foundation but I had since been on ezflow cousies and found a new love for nails. hope this helps.
