Hello all,

I have done a search and gone through lots of posts but would still really like your opinion (also, I hope I am posting in the right place)!

I am a total beginner and nails have always interested me and I'd love to learn to do a manicure properly (first to do on my friends/family but maybe do more courses if I really enjoy it)

I have found two courses for manicures with Creative Nails and also with NSI (a woman in West Hampstead) both look good and are a similar price. Do any of you have experience of either - would you recommend them or something else entirely?

Really appreciate your help - thanks!

Karen

I would go with Creative :)

I can't comment on NSI, but I've done the Creative spa mani and pedi and it was great. I love the products, and they were included in the cost of the course. HTH

Marioned and Lellipop - thank you so much! I did think their website looked excellent and when I did a web search I only read good things about Creative.....think I will go with them!!

Thanks!!!

Hi, i can only recomend CND as thats all i have done. I did spa man and spa ped course, the products are lovely and smell great too x :)

CND = You buy the pack & the training day is free.

Unless this has changed .... The Mani & Pedi days were fab xx

Hi,
I did my mani & pedi with NSI, enjoyed both days. Course fee only no kits included.
I also did my L & P and Gel with NSI.
BUT now I am also a Creative girl, just love their products too.......jeepers I am no help!!! Sorry !!!
Best of luck with whichever you choose, but the new Creative mani range is lush.
Lotsa luv x  x

its not really NSI's mani products its Spa ritual isnt it as NSI only do Nail Tech professional products, as opposed to CND who do the lot and some! I use CND products they're just FAB, training excellent and customer service unrivalled!

The only thing i can comment on is the NSI Trainer you're talking about. She's lovely - i did an acrylic workshop with her in November, but i did my manicure as part of my beauty therapy.

If you are interested in doing other things beauty related maybe opt for NVQ at college? :)

Thank you all for your replies - you are a great help!

Magsham, I spoke to the woman on the phone and she did sound really nice plus West Hampstead isn't far from me!

But from what the rest of you say I think I'll go for Creative, sounds like they are very good. Plus its a bit cheaper than NSI which is a bit of a bonus!

I am still waiting for Creative to get back to me....I am itching to get it booked!!!!!

Thanks again :)

You've made a good choice! I can almost feel your enthusiasm to get started so I hope you get on a course really soon

Good luck with it Karen - I'm sure the girls at sweetsquared will get you sorted with a course in no time

Let us know how you get on. The Spa mani/pedi products are gorgeous.

Hi, I have just been looking at your post because I have booked onto the Pedicure course at NSI in manchester at the end of January - I believe it is using spa ritual products. I did look at the other one because the products are included but when I phoned they never got back to me. Have you booked your course yet? I just wondered if you would let me know how you get on. I did my acrylic training with NSI a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it but want to the manicure and pedicure course as well. I am a bit worried that I should have waited for the other company to get back to me first, especially given that they include the products in the price.

Hello! Well Creative didn't call me but I called them and have put my desposit down for my course next month.

Its odd that they seem to not get back to people....you would think they would jump at the chance of business wouldn't you?!

Let me know how you get on with the NSI course and I'll report back about my course (which I am soooo excited about!!!) :)

I got the information and invoice sent to me yesterday from Creative. Its all fine but I am now a bit worried because it says to bring your tools, it lists quite a few items I'll need.....this is fine I am going to go and buy them all at the weekend.

However some of the items I have never heard of.....I guess I am now worried that everyone else on the course (the natural manicure course) will have experience in the industry and I will be the one complete beginner!!!

Arrgghhhh!!!!!!

hi

im thinking about booking the natural nails manicure course with creative, but they havent got back to me either and its kind of putting me off a little bit - perhaps they're just very busy with everyone wanted a change of career in the new year, lol!

can i ask where you will have to go for your training, im not too far from london either
