Hi

i have heard of some salons having 2 skincare ranges and i just wanted to know what is the reason for this?

i have eve taylor in my salon but i think its more of a luxury facial rather than facials that would target certain conditions etc (eg. anti aging) like dermalogica would be more in depth.

what ranges do you stock? anyone that has eve taylor, do you have a 2nd skincare range?

It all depends on what your skincare ranges offer and what you want to offer your clients.

Some therapists find a range like Dermalogica or Decleor covers all they need - from the more pampering treatments, through to really results driven products.

Others like to offer clients a range, say mixing Environ with another brand.

When taking on new retail ranges you need to think about the retail area in your salon, how they are going to be displayed, how they will look together. And how you can seperate them to seperate the brands so clients don't get confused between the two. You also don't want to place emphasis, "this range is much better then that range" ... why would you stock an inferior range of products? They just do different things, and are give clients a wider choice to find something most suited to their skin.

well i want a range that targets anti aging, acne and dull skins etc. i would like to keep eve taylor on, so what would work in well with it? i don't want any minimum orders

Eve Taylor's range does target the problem skins you are referring to. I use Eve Taylor and currently have client's on courses to combat acne, pigmentation and scarring. Admittedly I am combining the facial range with Microdermabrasion but I am having great results with their serums and peel off masques. Also their serums can be used with galvanic and microcurrent.
Have you been on the Product & System of Analysis training, if not I would definately recommend it, you will come out with a much greater knowledge of the products and how to get the best from them.
If you have questions on how to treat specific problems, Eve Taylor group are on facebook, if you join you can post any questions on their wall and they will be answered promptly.

I agree totally with HeatherP. You need to go get yourself trained up as this opens a whole new dimension to what you can offer. The serums and peel-off masques give great results for what you are looking for when offering a course of treatments.

Environ have an opening order of £500, and their basic training is £85 - which is four days I think. These are both excellent value, ongoing orders do not have a minimum.

That's like asking why the Pope wears red shoes....

Because he can :D

True, it depends on what you want to offer your client. But I find it confusing. So do clients. I just use one. Keeps things simple and the service streamlined.

Only the one I use. Sothys.
