I dont know about a website actually 'generating' business for you. A website is just another form of advertising and its success or otherwise is dependant on several factors.
1, Is the site built properly? Does it look well, is it easy to navigate around?
2, Does it look professional? Does it look reasonably original or does it look like 50 other sites out there that are all using the same template?
3, Does it reflect well on you as a nail technician, beauty technician, etc? Do you have proper photos on there of your work or are you using fuzzy blurred photos?
4, is it being found in the search results?
5, Is there enough custom for your services in your locality? Are there 20 beauticians offering their services where there is only a need for 3 or 4? If so, your website (and you) are going to have to be so much better than the others.
A website can be a terrific tool for any small business, but only when some work and effort has been put into it. I hate to see people start off a new website, add two pages and some floating butterflies and then leave it at that. That is not going to impress anyone as to your professionalism, if you're going to do it, spend some time (and money if necessary) and do it right. Remember, this is your online 24/7 shop front, show yourself off!!!
