Hi all, im starting to panic a bit! for my birthday a few weeks ago i got brought a wax pot (pot +spatula) ready to start my mobile business, as this is the only system i have been trained on how to use warm wax. ive noticed a few people say the use the tube/roller system. This does seem better, but for now i will have to use my pot until i can save up. Does anyone else use a pot for mobile waxing? if so what pros and cons do you have with it?
thanks
xx

I do have a pot, but I very rarely use it for mobile work; I prefer the roller systems.

The only thing I would say is that if you're travelling, make sure you keep the pot really clean so you can put the lid back on properly after a treatment, and get yourself a plastic storage box; put the pot inside, and pack it tight with towels to make sure it doesn't go everywhere!

And drive carefully!!!!

I use a pot and am just careful!

Hi

I do :) I have a large plastic tub with a lid, i put the pot in the tub with everything else and wrap my towels around the pot, then put on the lid. I also keep the tub in the boot of the car. heat the pot before you go, i let mine get really hot, when i get to the house i plug in the pot and check temp as the wax cools fairly quick.
I also have a roller, which i have only used twice now, and it's mainly when my sister wants leg waxing as she is always in a hurry.

forgot, drive very carefully, lol

i notice lots of people use water based wax for microwave :)

I use a wax pot and store it in an old nicky clarke silver hairdryer case (Argos and Boots sold em at half price for ages, you've probably seen em). It fits in perfect and I can just fit my lotions etc at each corner to steady the pot. If you decide to try rollers they are easy. I had a go in my old salon and could do it quickly straight away.

I use roller at the min, but i am changing to pot in the near future.

Thanks guys, i do feel better now! xx

I use a wax pot for mobile work and have had no problems just keep it secure in the boot and pre heat before leaving home. Although i find if i unload the wax pot from the car first and plug it in at the client's house, then get the rest of my things from the car and set up the wax is ready to use. Hope this helps :)

i used to until a month ago, now i use phd, if you buy the system from ellisons you get your training for free. Its quicker and better and now i don't get spillages in my car like i did with the wax pot. Its more expensive in the long run but its more hygienic and my clients prefer it, also i have had new clients from it once they found out i did it. The new system phd that is is around £100 from ellisons inc your training like i have stated before, hope that helps. :)
