Hi, I have a young girl coming in this week and she wants white tips (not sculpts). Her nail beds are a bit short in my mind, but I wondered if it is possible to lengthen past the nail bed using a pink opaque and then stick a tip on the very end of the opaque - and then finish with a clear to get the shape and strength? Has anybody done it this way please, and have they lasted the usual time a tip would please?
Hope to hear back,
Jeanette

I've read on here somewhere (and I apoligize as I don't know who posted but it was a great idea!) that you can glue your tips on the client's nail at the corners only, leaving a gap between the white tip and the actual nail's free edge. Then you can use your pink opaque powder to create a longer nailbed.

I have not tried this but would if I had a client like yours.

HTH and best of luck! :)

Thanks for that - it may be an option, but I guess it would have to be using deep smile line tips?

Anyone else help please?

why don't you just use a clear or natural tip blend it in, then extend the nail bed with the opaque on the tip, then place your white.

Or visa vers..white then pink opaque

xx

Hi there - thanks for replying. Do you mean put the white plastic tip on top of the blended natural one? I hadn't thought of that - would it work? Or did you mean white powder - for some reason she wants the plastic look.

if your just going to 'glue' on the corners of the white tip, be very careful u dont get product on the skin in the gap between the tip and nail in the center as you can cause over exposure, allergic reaction. I wouldnt sick a tip on a tip at all. I think the poster probably ment use a natural tip, then create the white the good old fashioned way with white L+P, extend the nail with an opaque powder.

i have used this method with great success.
i applied deep smile white tips to my clients nails by just sticking the "ears" down and therefore making a little gap between the tips and the clients nails.remove the shine from the white tips then i applied an opaque powder in zones 2 and 3 and then applied clear over the tip and back in zone 2 if needed.
they lasted just like a normal set would.
just make sure you dont etxend the nail beds further than the end of the clients finger as you will have a hole and the product will just fall through if that makes sense.
