Hi there

I am new to the site and I am currently studying to be a nail tech so buying some equipment in.... I will be intending to be mobile and just part-time. I have seen the Eggpot heater and see it gets some good reviews and wondered if anyone has used it for paraffin wax treatments and if so how good was it and which waxs can be used with it.....

Many thanks for your help

Welcome to the site.:)

Parraffin wax treatments may be difficult for you to do mobile as it takes so long for the wax to melt and reach temperature. You would have to heat it up at home and transport it both ways in its molten state.

Perhaps others manage it and would be able to advise you of the best option

Thank you very much for your response... The site seems really good and helpful..

Th:)anks once again

Don't know about the eggpot but I have the Hive mini heater 500cc and it's perfect, it has a temperature control and holds small amounts at a time so melts quite quickly. It's compact and small too so easy to transport. :)

I like to dip the whole hand for a paraffin wax treatment, would the eggpot not be too small ?

Yes I think the eggpot would be too small for this. The first one I had was suitable for dipping the hand in but I don't do this anyway, I decant into a lined bowl and paint it onto clients hand.. justthe way I was tought in college and the heater is easier to cart about because it's smaller too. :)

I see, I was taught to dip the hand - hence my confusion.

hi i have the hive multi pro as i do mobile work and offer paraffin treatments. the paraffin comes in cartridges which is great as you dont have to wait ages for it to melt and it can also double up as a wax heater..i use one side for wax and the other for paraffin. ive also got an eggpot wax heater but not fussed on it. hth
