Thanks everyone for your advice 😃 I've rang around for samples and got crystal clear comming out Tomo!!

My honest advice .... Don't do it! You would be a thousand times better off with using tesco value products than CC. I would know I spend a lot of money on one of there machine! It was the biggest regret I've had! And there customer care is ... Well lacks care lets say :)

I also invested in cc I felt it didn't do half as well as Eve Taylor people in my area and in these times don't want to pay £60 for a moisturiser xx

Eve taylor make a lot of products for dermalogica, their additives to name one!

As a past dermalogica salon i would never go there again, if you aint ordering lots if stock from them, they aint interested in the small people, only the salons that make them money and lots of it!

Go somewhere your business is welcomed.

Isn't a demalogica opening order a four figure amount? I'm looking into skin care ranges at the moment and that's what I've heard it is.

Yes it is, I saved for 3 years to stock them and extremely glad I did. I already stocked Susan molyneux's three ranges (renu, Monu & Vitru) for 7 years prior - they have no aftercare at all and it cost me more than Dermalogica to set up - although lovely products I was naive when opening my first salon - live & learn! X

I nearly went with CC so glad I didn't! X

I've found I've done really well with cc as everyone has dermalogica so wanted to be different how much do u retail eve taylor moisturiser ?

Dermalogica is a department store brand now. The professionalism is unfortunately not there anymore. If you can buy it on a shop shelf it's not a professional line. It's a very good range but offer nothing unique to salon professionals. Also very expensive so make sure your potential clients will have that kind of money or you will end up dusting off the boxes more than you want to.

Eve Taylor is a great range, well priced and completely professional. Fantastic value, don't know how they can sell at such good prices. - S

I'm sure a lot of Dermalogica professionals will disagree with you here 😉, myself been one of them - I'm just as professional as the rest of other branded skin care pros and I can honestly say my stock does not sit on my shelves collecting dust, if you do not know how to retail ANY brand it can sit collecting dust, I specialise in skin treatments and that's what my clients come to me for, I personally don't find the brand unprofessional at all far from it.

I can see your point completely and I'm sure lots will agree with you. I'm not saying the brand is unprofessional, I'm saying that it's not a professional brand :). MY point being, if I can go into a department store and purchase a product off the shelf without a consultation and advice from a brand technician then it is not professional. I used Dermalogica for many years from the very beginning of the brand and I (and many many others) were told it would never be available outside a salon/Spa and now it is. Eve Taylor you won't find anywhere therefore it is what it says it is, a professional brand. I'm not disrespecting the brand just find it hard to agree with the label it puts on itself :)

As far as I'm aware all the 'department stores' you can walk into are Dermalogica concept shops. Like selfridges and libertys etc. All off which have highly trained staff. I've met some of the girls when I've been on training myself and the have to go on almost a boot camp before they start and then keep up to date on training! So as far as I'm aware there's no high street shops you can pick it of the shelf?
I love eve Taylor as a I want to say budget line. ( more budget compared to derma anyway) however I love the complexity of Dermalogica there training products an great skin care results. The reason they have concessions within stores it to get the brand awareness out there, I'm not stupid it's also of course for the ££££ but if you asked customers which one they'd heard of out the two think we all know what they'd pick!
I get clients waking in off the street just to buy products. Not every day but still!

It's great that there are so many skin care lines within the industry which allows therapists of all business models to choose which is right for them.

Everyone has their own perception, and it's a shame that some people perceive our brand as a 'budget brand' but this is often through people not knowing the full facts about our amazing company and it seems fair that we share with potential new users why we are becoming increasingly popular.

As a manufacturing company we produce all products at source within our OWN manufacturing facility, this keeps the costs down as we don't need to outsource to other companies that require units to be produced in their 10/100's thousands at a time; this is extremely costly for companies and it also potentially means that products sit on warehouse shelves loosing their shelf life until they are at last used.
We manufacture our products in small batches as needed, which guarantees that any time inventory is purchased it arrives to the stockist FRESH.

We have never had an elitist attitude towards potential users and believe firmly that all therapists should have access to great quality effective skin care products without prohibitive costly barriers being put up to stop and discourage them from providing a professional service to their clients, and have therefore kept our pricing to a realistic level to support this. This also allows our retail products to be realistically priced, allowing the everyday person to have access to great skin without a large percentage of their disposable income being eaten into.

We provide an assortment of amazing start up packages for every budget, with everything needed to start providing the very best facial skin care treatments. Whether starting small with a visiting practice/mobile, working from home, a small salon or a multi-room spa, we have the package to suit the business and budget.

If anyone would like to find out more about our realistic business start ups please feel free to call us on 01733 260161 and ask to speak to Gaynor or Matt.

I currently use Dermalogica and I love the product although I do think it is expensive and it annoys me that they tend to put their prices up every year! I am thinking about trying a different product, I have heard a lot of good things about Eve Taylor range so will try this, although people have mentioned that Eve Taylor range is only available from professionals salons but I was having a look at it in boots at the beginning of the week, and i also saw it in an airport recently too?!

We are very confused by this statement. OUR brand is certainly NOT sold in Boots or at airports.

It's only sold in salons and by therapists. You won't find it in Boots. Are you sure you haven't got it confused with another brand? X

I certainly believe every salon professional is entitled to their own opinion on what works for their business what ever the brand but I do continuously see (on SG) some therapists slating certain brands that I personally think is uncalled for and unprofessional. If you simply dislike a brand because of their business strategy then do not use it but when there are thousands of therapists that use certain brands and clients that buy because it works for them and their business. I have used many different brands and worked for said brands but I would never slate them because each one has its own great benefits, if I could I would stock more brands because there are so many to like! But as I say you can give an opinion without slating there's always a way to word something!

I emailed dermalogica out of curiosity first she said if I buy before Xmas I get 50% off this and that and 10% off this and minimum order £2000+vat then I worked it all out seemed quite good I then Asked if I was correct she said well sort of if you order x y and z you get this and that free and was loads more didn't even make sense I said I was only looking at the £2000+ vat I felt like she was just trying to confuse me and make it sound good when really it was a lot more expensive and free this and that well nothing really free is it?

Annoying

I Really think it was Eve Taylor I saw but Maybe I have got it confused with another brand and I apologise if this is the case :-s

I will have a look in boots when I next go and confirm.

Perhaps it was the fantastic Liz Earle brand that you saw?

Another fan of Eve Taylor! Brilliant products and amazing customer service - advice etc.

My clients love it!

I love Eve Taylor but more importantly my clients love it.

I'm a mobile therapist and I have one danger with Eve products, I sniff my hands in the car after clients as even after washing my hands they still smell fabulous. So if a new law joins the 'not to use mobile phones' and it's a 'not to sniff yourself when driving' then you can blame me. :o
