Hi

I've got a girl coming in on Thursday. She wants an eyebrow tint then wax then a tan

I know your not meant to tan for at least 24 hours after waxing.

She was in just last week getting her brows waxed but she's just getting them done again for Christmas. So there's probably not much there for me to wax

Do you think i'd get away with doing a tan after waxing or should I re-book the tan?

Hey there, I know what your saying but just be on the safe side and preventing a problem I would wait 24 hrs after the waxing before applying the spray tan :)

I agree. Although it will probably be fine, she could be THE ONE to come out in a reaction and her Christmas would be ruined and she might sue you, then your Christmas will be ruined. xxx

I would tend to agree..whilst every individual reacts differently to waxing...and assuming you don't know how this customer will...then to act on the side of caution is always the best option.

If and when she has been waxed she may be fine ....but that's a decision to make for her next appointment once you have established her skin reaction to the waxing.

HTH

Or perhaps if she hasn't many hairs to remove, as you said she hasn't long had them done, could you pluck the stray few out, this will make the skin alot less sensitive, maybe then she could have it done the same day?

ukfaye- i might do that. it was only 8 days ago that she had them done. so it will just be random ones.

i'm going to give her a call and speak to her but she's a hard lady to get hold of. even if she could come first thing for her eyebrows then last thing at night for the tan i'd feel better

I've only ever done this once and never again!
Luckily it was my sister. She used to work for me and i gave her an eyebrow wax in the morning. Completely forgot about doing it and, at the end of the night we were rushing about clearing up and she asked me if i could give her a quick tan before we left. I did it as we both had forgot about the wax earlier on. Her one eye was really irritated! It was like it for days! Really red and sore and that was with a few hours gap between waxing and spraying. Even with tweezing you are opening up the follicles and it's a risk i wouldn't be prepared to take. It would be sods law that this would be the one client that had a reaction!

i would just give em abit of a pluck, like you say there wont be many... i think its more the tint you should be careful with (wipe wipe and more wipe!) as the tint reacts with the tan & tends to go really dark!...

we always put a really fine layer of vaseline over the brows...
