I am looking to do eyelash training. Which brand would you recommend to be the best to train with? Do any do special offers on training??

hi saralee welcome to salon geek, There are quite a few eyelash extension companies you can train with and if you do a search at the top for lash extensions or some of the brands such as flirties, lash perfect, nouveau, etc you will be able to find out lots of info.

I can only give my opinion of the flirties brand who for my own personal reasons i think are fab as others will say the same for the brand that they are with.

This is a great site for gaining insight into others personal experiences with different brands etc but make sure you have a good look before deciding on a training provider and look at what you want to gain from your training etc.

Hope I helped a little :)

I highly recommend xtreme lashes. The training is amazing you learn so much and gain so much motivation. The lashes look incredibly natural and last really well. They are quite expensive but you get what you pay for and they are well worth it. Lashes are tricky to learn and take a lot of practice and commitment but you can reap the rewards if you stick at it. Good luck and if you want to know any more pm me. Xx

I trained with CTA who train in Glam Lash I think they are training in London. They are based in Glasgow contact Louisestherapy on here for further info.

I like them but as said you will find lots of people have their own opinions so not so easy to help you decide.

Look at all the companies out there what the training involves and the cost your willing to pay to learn and you will get your answer. You do get what you pay for but you would expect them all to be good quality as it is not a cheap thing to learn. courses cost hundred of pounds.

There are indeed allot of choices but as always there are those with the highest reputaion and profile in the business and those that are more middle of the road regarding both products and training.

My experience with Nouveau Lash was terrific ... as I have been into training for the past 25 years, I went for the company with the best reputation for both quality training and products. You can't beat them.

I do not represent Nouveau Lash and am not a trainer for Nouveau Lash I am just a very experienced teacher myself and a former distributor for the high end brand of nail products and training Creative Nail Design - CND) so I know and recognise great training and great products better than most ... I always go for company reputation and for that I reccommend Nouveau Lash.

Hi, if you do a search you'll get lots of info on all the different companies. You could also check the blogs as some people have blogged about their experience too. There have been a few recently. HTH

Check out my previous thread (which was recently closed) judge the company for yourself by the various comments. Good luck who ever you decide to train with.

I would ring around and see what each one offers. Eyelash extensions are very tricky and i really think it's best to have as small a class as possible so that you get as much individual attention as possible.
Ask the companies how many they have in a class.
Sometimes companies will be well-known but it doesn't make them the best, it just means that they have great advertising!
It's a bit of a minefield out there so research well.

Good point. Class size is a very important factor!

one to one undoubtedly gives the optimum education however no more than 4...maybe 6 if the trainer is experianced enough and willing to do so really..any more and there is the possibility insufficient levels of attention are given to trainees compared to smaller group's

It is of course far less commercially viable for a training provider to train smaller groups however I beleive in the longer term trained therapists will be more suited and ready to take on paying customers and consequently to grow there business due to adequate training.

If the training provided proves to be good then of course the trainee(or now therapist) will pass the word on to others in a positive way who are seeking training...

It is this positive word of mouth which is,in the long term far more beneficial to a brand (a positive cycle)than possible negative comments which simply counteract the huge sums of money in marketing involved in bringing in these larger group classes...... (a negative cycle)

If the right balance of class size and training program is found then both the training provider/brand and trained therapist all benifit in the longer term...as does the standard of treatments given to the paying public which further gives an industry a reputation(a complete cycle).

The old saying applies here ...less is more

HTH and good luck

Small classes are the best when there is only one trainer in the room ....

but I also know that a bigger class with more educators on hand to help and guide is just as effective and often more so as students interact and question, share experience and often much more insight can be gained from this extra aspect. Students tend to ask more questions when there are more in a class than just one or two. It is not the number of students in a class but the number students per educator in my opinion.

Yep you definitely need a small class.
I had my training and there were 8 of us and only one trainer. No-one else to help just the one trainer. It was far too many and as a consequence i am having to be re-trained by the company as i felt i learned next to nothing.
There are also companies out there that do small classes but the training may not be up to scratch
My suggestion would be to go with a company that does small classes but make sure you get some recommendations from people who have already done that course.
You can always ask on here when you have drawn a shortlist up.
