Fast track courses???

Hello... I was just searching the net to find a good nail extension course for a first timer (im a qualified beauty therapist but interested in nails too)
are the fast track 1 or 2 day courses any good? or will i just have to pay out more money and do a longer course?? if so what kinda time length is good? and how much should i be willing to pay??
Also, i live in the Cambridge area and was wondering if there were any courses round here that anyone would recommend??
Ive been looking for ages and dunno what to do =S

Save your money until you can afford the best training, this will save you money & dissappoitment in the long run..

Im sure you know who the top training companies are, wait until you can go with one of those x

Hi,
I personally wouldnt go on a fast track course.
I started my training with Creative nail design and did the Liquid and powder( acrylic) foundation course, which was 5 days spread over 2 mths (i think lol)I then went on and trained with Ezflow and am doing my NVQ now.

There is so much to learn that imo its near on impossible to learn all that in just a day or 2.
Like champagne has said i would save your money and do a longer course with one of the top end brands .Usually foundation courses are about 5 days long for one system.
There are a few you can look at , NSI, Young Nails, Creative nail Design, Ezflow etc etc

Yes, it doesnt have to be creative, I rang lots and asked lots of questions then researched others experiences and went from there.

I have taken short courses in other fields and some of them can be fantastic but i personally dont believe that you can learn how to do nails in that length of time, you will also need after advice etc so make sure that its readilly available to you.

I think you have summed up what we have all gone throught at some point or another.

The only thing I would add is that you can never get to much education.

I've read on here about so many people wasting money on courses which were hopeless and then having to spend more money on proper training. I'm so glad I went down the right road from the start.

Those two threads (although they're a bit old now lol) will give you quite a few opinions of what some of us did in the beginning and also whether we researched enough before beginning our nail careers.

Great advice, I say fully research first and ask questions until you know which company you prefer. I would say forget the fast track idea and go with one of the companies above.

I have done all my training with Creative and use all their products. The training is superb and I cannot fault any of their products. Sweet Squared are so helpful and friendly you can't go wrong IMO.
