For permanent french tips with fibreglass I use this:
create your nail from start to finish..... when you get to the last stage after shaping and lengths checking, do a 240 grit buff (this will allow the gel to grip), apply paint on white gel, taking the white gel over the edge to grip the free edge (capping), refine the smile line and freeze cure, do this to all ten fingers, then full cure for recommended curing time, remove inhibition layer, after this give the white smile line a, very, very light buff to remove the slight step the white will create, then apply the uv finishing gloss making sure you cap the free edge, so the gel doesn't come away from the free edge......
I did use white acrylic paint, but sometimes it makes the fibreglass slightly less invisible and the resin can tend to melt the paint so you could get smudges..specialy when you try to stipple the resin into the mesh to get good saturation.....to me this was more of a hit and miss scenario, so I switched to gel smile lines.... easy to buff off when it comes to rebalancing service.
You know there is no right or wrong way to do anything, try out different ways and see which one works for you...HTH.. good luck huni xxxx
