Hi can anyone advise please? I have only ever worked with gel and would now like to offer acrylics too but I have no idea where to start looking and what would be the best brand. Also, I have been told that it is really difficult to master acrylics if you have always done gel - is there any truth in this???

Thanks

i think l/p acrylic is more difficult to do than gel. it is a completely different technique
but if you can do gel then you will have lots of the skills you require already
you know how to prepare the nails, you know how to fit and blend tips, you know the correct structure, and you know how to file and finish.

this just leaves the application for you to concentrate on. the biggest difference is the fact that l/p acrylic will start to set as soon as the liquid and powder come together, unlike gel that only sets when you are ready.

having mastered all the other skills with gel, it will be much easier to concentrate on getting the application right, so it shouldnt be too difficult for you.

That depends on the brand and how it handles. I would unconditionally recommend CND. It handles with a very light touch (like Gel) and is the top notch brand of L&P. Interested to find out more then ring 08452106060,

Hey, I learnt gels and L and P at the same time with my training and I actualy find l and p easier to use then gels (im strange I know). Oh and as for brand go with CND they are amazing and so so strong and hardwearing xxxxxx
