hi .. could any body help me here .. i use nsi products for L&P and usually finish off with glaze and go... might seem like a daft question but if a client wanted it could i finish the L&P with gel?? i know i can use perma gloss with the prep first... so really my question is if i wanted to use the finish clear gel on top of the nails should i
1) not buff the nail before applying the gel?
2) apply the finsh clear (would you need the balance bonder)?
3) still cap the free edge
4) then cure and wipe

does this sound ok?? as i was thinking maybe to apply a thin layer of builder first or would this not be needed ..??

any advice with L&P users who use a gel finish would be great .. thanks for your time guys to read and reply to my post many thanks x

you can infact use gel (top layer/finish) on l/p and yes you wouldnt finish the nail as you suggested. personally i wouldnt use any primers, bonders, base coats prior to top coat (gel) the gel will "stick" better. the gel "top coat" is the same as perma gloss. i could be wrong but im sure a geek will put me right - i dont use gel, so im going on what my head is telling me

You just need to buff the surface of the L&P with a 180, dust very well and then apply the top coat and cure as normal :)

glaze and go is a finishing gel also :) and so is Perma Gloss

i use nsi and i sometimes apply finish clear instead,i just
use my sanding block
wipe over the nail with cleanse to remove the dust
apply finish clear (no balance bonder is needed) capping the free edge
cure for 90-120 seconds
and wipe off the dispersion layer with cleanse
just make sure that you put on a fairly decent amount of finish clear as it can shrink and you can end up with pot holes.
