Glitter fades

Hi Everyone!
I have just bought some new glitters from fiona, pink and silver, and want to try and do a colour fade.
Im not sure how to go about it thou, im not sure whether to cover the whole nail, and all ten, or just do the tips.
I think i have to put the silver on and then drag it down the nail, and then put the pink on and drag it up towards the free edge??
HELP me!!

Hi Jess, glitter is fab there is so much you can do with it, hours of fun

When I do a glitterfade with 2 colours I start up near zone 3 and work down,you want your zone 3 to be faded and your bolder colour at the tip iykwim, well that's what I do, it's entirely up to you.
So I would place my bead in zone 3 then press up and pull down, then another of the same colour in zone 2 so the colour is bolder then my other colour as near the free edge then sweep it upwards. Try to do it thinly as I always cap the whole nail in clear so I can refine the nail before buffing up.

No I don't Jess but then again I love glitter I think because you are doing two colours it'll not look too much if you are not used to glitter nails on yourself.They'll be lovely.

Glitters are fab, I have recently started offering them, how much extra are you charging for your glitter nails hun? I'm currently adding £5 to the normal price

I have glitter fades on in blues at min ad I really love them! Have had loads of comments and been giving my cards out to people when they ask me where I have my nails done! So they could bring you loads of business!

Im not sure im going to be able to do them tonight after all, my glitters havent arrived yet because of the post strike!! :cry:
I havent actually ever done them on a paying client before, just playing around on my own!!
I have seem some lovely examples the cathie has done, so iv'e got the general idea and cant wait to try them myself!
