Is this right? I was at college at the weekend and the tutor said we can put glitter over our gels if we want it on our toes.

Just put the first layer of gel, sprinkle glitter on top(any glitter she said) and then cure. Then finish as normal.

Would the gel cure properly under the glitter. I assume glitter that you buy from your nail supplier would, but she said we could even use craft glitter. At the time I thought it was a fab idea but the more I think about it I'm not sure.

Thanks Lx

I prep, 1st layer of gel - cure, then 2nd layer of gel, sprinkle glitter - cure, lightly dust to remove non bonded glitter, then final coat of clear gel - cure, top coat (finishing gloss) cure. **All thin coats**
I use "polyester glitter".
hth:)

Hi,

if you are not wanting a completly covered glitter nail, and just want glitter french, dip a dotting tool in clear gel and then dip in your choice of glitter and create your smile line.

I get my glitter from here Nail Graphix glitter Acrylic and glitter toes are very popular...

i apply a base layer of gel...cure....then another thin layer of gel and dab glitter on with a spare brush...cure...then seal with clear gel/topgloss....cure.
