can anyone help .
ive been trying for a while now to get some pictures of my nails i have done but when i do the photo never looks good but the nails do. my camera is 7.1 megapixel not th best but not the worst. the pictures are dull or blurry or too bright or not showing glitter etc. any advice? how do you all get good pics?

Does your camera have a macro setting? Also natural light photographs the best!

Definitely try your macro setting - it's a normally a button or setting with little picture of a flower, it gives much more detail and definition in close up shots HTH

Do the macro and if you have a sport option on your camera choose it . I am also not an expert but that is the only way I ca take a pic of my nails :lol:

thanks for your advice. im sure ill find that button somewhere im not good with these kind of things lol thanks again xx

What model of camera are you using incidentally?

its a kodak not sure the model but ive had it about 2 years now so it probably due replacing. My daughter had it earlier so cant find it at the minute to check the model xx

Without knowing the model you use, try this:

* Take pictures in a well light place of natural light (near window).

* Turn off the flash

* Turn on Macro

If you have P or M mode, try changing aperture or shutter speed.

If the pictures come out too dark, increase ISO number (this should be changeable on most cameras).

Ah right OK...

I've had best results from Panasonic Lumix cameras so far - the auto mode on them seems intelligent enough to give excellent results in most conditions...
