Hi

I have done my mums nails loads of time but today I decided to use line out on her refill. I am not sure what went wrong but this was the result.

Any ideas please

Jo

sorry cannot see pic

no - photo!
hope you get one on, and some advice, I have line out, but i have never used it, so would be great if someone answers, then I'll know if to bother!

Well I can't see your picture but if you had enough lifting to be tempted to use line out to cover it up I think I would concentrate on why you are getting so much lifting you feel the need to use a product like this.

Sorry can't view your pic, I agree with Gigi. Never heard of the product but can guess what its for

Are you using line out to try and 'melt away' the lifting product??
I've never used it so I'm not sure what it is for, but the best way to eliminate lifting is to look over your prep again you need to be really thorough, secondly when filing away lifting file BEHIND and up to the lift line, after a while the lifted area will just 'pop off'.

I'm not sure what kind of line you had - can you elaborate a bit more please then we can help you out a bit more

Hi Sorry trying to get pic on.

My mistake it was not a infill on this nail but a new tip (natural one) anyway i thought you were suppose to use it across the file line to save a little time on filing. Nobody has told me to use it but because NSI sell it i though I would try it and see. Hope that makes more sense.

Not sure what you mean by the file line?? Line out is to disguise lifting product .. product which shouldn't be lifting inthe first palce. Usually it turns yellow with age and it can promote green nail infections. Best tackle the lifting problem and then you will not be tempted to use it.

Hiya .....in my experience, you don't need these products...yes I have tried them in the past as an OMG this will fix all my problems kind of solution.

I guess you were trying to use line out as a tip blender. Tip blenders are rubbish also because they ruin your files when you roll off the semi dissolved plastic of the tip and it also creates a weak area in your enhancement where you have used it to blend the tip.

When I first started out it could take me 10 minutes to blend one tip....now, I can blend in a heartbeat!

Practice and continual education will get you where you want to be at....honest!

Do you mean you have put it where you blend the tip in with a file?
If you do it's tip blend that i was supplied with but never use it.

hi Yes thats it! I thought it was use to help blend tips, so I guess it should not be use but why do they sell it then?

I have never seen this products but from what others have said it is a products that people use to hide and lifting of the product once an enhancement has been done, that is why they were saying that you need to sort out why the products is lifting

Anyway the product you need for the job you want doing is tip blend but personally i never use it.
As it contains acetone you have to be very carefull as to how much you put on as it can cause the tip to split! Nightmare :irked:
If you can master blending correctly it's much better. I never found that using tip blend made blending any easier or quicker.

they sell it because people buy it... people buy it cos it sounds like the answer to some techs problems...its not the answer and seldom are these quick fix products.

Because newbies think it will solve all their problems and it makes them money  I know, I have been in the same place as you.

Practice makes perfect and with practice and continued education, you won't need any of these so say time saving products.

To make money out of inexperienced or untrained people that do not know any better,
when we are new a lot of us think this is the answer to all our problems but it actually causes more problems in the long run hth

i use nsi and line out is supposed to be for lifting of the product not tips.i do have it and have tried it but i dont feel that it works that great anyway although i love there products.:)

A few companies sell this type of product, EzFlow included....I have never bought the EzFlow one, never tried it and would never recommend it to my students....it's not needed when you are working well and are well educated

Mine came with the kit I had to pay for from NSI for my NVQ course at college. Its quite annoying that there are several products in the kit that the tutor hasn't used, or shown us what they are for! waste of money then. However the course is good, so I don't want to moan too much.
At least I know now that I can basically bin the bottle that is taking up space in my lovely pink case......:)
