Help urgently needed! Just got my Shellac kit and can't get lid to open on UV lamp?

I may be dim, and I am blonde lol, but I am following instructions and it just wont move, I don't have anyone to ask and no partner. I need to get the bulbs in and I'm desperate to have a go with shellac!
