Okay, I had a luverly holiday in the sun, but was so busy worrying about my pending exam results that I forgot to move my bathing suit straps from my shoulders and am now sporting white strap marks :irked:!

Problem is, I've got my graduation next week and I've bought a strapless ball gown from Monsoon . I've got 6 days to rectify the problem!

Today I've applied a Virgin Vie Tan lotion after exfoliating and moisturizing well. Not sure if this is the way to go though because as I see it, all I'm going to achieve is to make the tan darker and the white strap lines a bit darker but will still have a definite mark.

Do I just self tan the white marks or should I go on a sunbed which I've never done before? Oh what to do please geeks?

Don't go on a sunbed, instead get a spray tan, it won't completely remove the white strap marks, but will help to blend them in. My friend had the same problem and I just spray tanned her and it worked wonderfully. I use Tantrick at the moment, however I may be moving to Sienna so either of those should do a really good coverage.

I'm sure there'll be someone in your area who'll be able to do it for you.

Good luck x

You could apply a spray tan solution with a cotton wool bud to the white bits to blend it all in then the day after have a full body spray tan and you should be all one colour hth

I would probably recommend a spray tan too and to cover up the slight difference I would use bronzing powder or makeup to match it up, if needed.

I'll 3rd the spray tan :green:

Although a variation on Loubylou's idea, you could have your tanner spray the whiter bits forst, let them dry a bit, then have the all over tan. Same result just a slightly different method :)

Good luck and I hope it goes ok. xx

Hmm bit of a dodgy one mate. Whatever you do it will never look quite the same but a spray is certainly worth a try.
Next time do what I do and lose the straps (everything is easy after the fact eh??) xx

my friend had the same and i blened her strap marks in with spray tan , gave her a light mist all over but concentrated more on the marks and it worked really well , you could hardly tell the next day that she had such white bits , lol xxx
