Hive Wax starter kit ... any good?

Hi everyone I'm Caroline, I've been reading these forums for a bit, but now I've started training thought I'd post ...

Anyways I need a little kit to get practising with and my instructor recommended the Hive ones, being reasonably priced and all. My only worry is that she said the 500cc heaters weren't great for hot wax. I don't want to have to buy a new heater when I get to hot waxing, but I also don't want to have to lumber a 1000cc heater everywhere!

The new Hive starter kit here comes with hot wax so I assume it'll be okay for hot wax? Has anyone had any experience with this?

I'm intrigued to know why she said the 500cc weren't good for hot wax.
I use the 1000cc heater for my hot wax but i'm salon based and don't have to lug it about. Lots of therapists use the 500cc heater for the hot wax and have no problems.
I'm not sure why she told you that but the 500cc is absolutely fine for hot wax

yup i use 500cc had no probs for 10yrs!!!

Ok great that's good to know, thanks! I think because some of the smaller ones the heating elements aren't as good, especially on the cheaper ones I should imagine. I'm not sure, I'm the newbie here
