Hi Im sure Ive already posted this but cant find it so if its repeated I apologise...can someone give me a rough idea of how much stock would be a good idea to start out with in a salon using Creative? It would just be me to start with so pretty small scale.
eg how many pots of clear, white, pink powder, how many tips, scrubfresh, enamel and so on? Would you work it out on a set number of clients to start with and calculate from there-any ideas? xxx:hug:

Hi hun, Iwould start by calculating roughly how many clients you are expecting to do in a day/week/month etc and go from there. Your educator should've told you roughly how many sets you can get out of a pot of powder (or the starter pack at least) so you should be able to work it out in a rough way

HTH's

Thanks redsadie, everythings so complicated when your trying to move things along. I dont even know how many Id be expecting to do lol and Im really not sure I could even guestimate until I was actually in there

Hmm. It is daunting isn't it?! Do you have a business plan? If so (and I suggest if you don't have one you should do one) there will be a section on forcasting and projection.

This is really what you are looking at hun, so even if you started out with 2 clients a day, work it out on that, then if you find you are getting more than this, great! You'll know exactly how much to re-order for the next week/month etc because you will have projected a plan/forecast.

With polishes I would call Sweetsquared and ask them to tell you which are the most popular polishes and go with 6 to start. You can always build on those weekly or monthly depending on how you want to re-order.

HTH's. xx

Yeah Im trying to get as much info as possible to work out my forecasts etc and wether it'd be viable for me to do. Think its my confidence thats keeping me back at the moment and lack of mobile clients doesnt help! Geeg said to me its best to just do it instead of doing bits here and there lol I think shes right but I always back away lol! XX

I know where you're coming from babe! Nails will be viable but as you know, it takes time and energy (not necessarily a lot of money in the advertising budget) to get to where you want to be. If it's truely what you want to do then Geeg is right (and I would definately love to hear a talk from her about marketing/advertising and generally how to :)) and confidence is the thing (apart from excellent training) because if you aren't confident in your work, then how can the client be?

Keep going sweet and you'll be flying in no time :green:

Thanks hun, its pick me ups like that that keep me going.I think my nails are fine but dont want to be 'fine' if you know what I mean? Ive noticed them improving though so Im going in the right direction. Wish I had some spare pennies to try out new things like custom blends, nail art canes and little jewels but Santa claus is driving a hard repayment plan at the mo!!! xx

i just have a small pot of each powder as it usually lasts ages then a large retention & scrubfresh as they are more expensive in small amounts then they can be decanted when needed

box of tips, manicure & pedicure sets

enamels about 20-40 colours - creative should be able to tell you the most popular but best choose the colours with low numbers as they have been around for years and are obviously the most popular

hope this is useful

Yes thats helpful thank you-would anyone say which sizes of tips you tend to get through the quickest? x

It varies depending on your clients. but for me it's sizes 5-7 that go first, then 8 and 3.

yes hun, 5's and 6's are my most used. :)

And I know what you mean about Santa driving a hard repayment plan!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
