Hi everyone
I am new to the forum and currently looking into going to college to become a nail technician.
I have done my own nail extensions for years without formal coaching.
I went to a salon last week and had UV Balance Gel Extensions. This is a completely new system to me and just wondered if anyone could tell me how to soak them off so that I can start afresh and practice on myself with my new Gel Balancer Kit?

Thanks everyone x

I'm not sure that Balance is a soak off gel ? You may need to buff it off. I would seek advice from the tech who applied it if I were you. Hope that helps.

balance gel needes to be filed of rather than soaked off. but to be honest i would recommend doing a course as you could permanatley damage your nails without proper training as these are chemicals.:)

as a rule I wouldnt reccomend taking off your own enhancements as an untrained person may end up causing damage to her natural nail plates. It'd best to go to back to the tech and ask for her advice chicken.

good luck with your future training ! xxx

Thanks guys
Im a little concerned about filing the gels off as I am worried about ruining my natural nails - i guess its back to the salon for me (

trust us, you'll thank us for the advice when you become a nail tech and your clients attempt home removal - they often end up blaming the tech! good luck petal, and I am so glad you're going to do this the right way xxx

Thanks soda xx
