Right here goes and please dont batter me, I am trying to understand things as I am training. I have done a search already but not sure what to search for to be honest.

OK here goes.... I am using CND L&P Pink & White acrylic and having shadows in zone 1 with the white (does that make sense). Its not over filing i.e. going clear in places in zone 1. It happens when using one bead in zone 1. So I just put the bead on, pat pat pat... pat pat pat, curve for a nice smile line and hey presto, there you have it, shadows all over the white of the nail!!!! I am putting the white on first and the pink after.

Can anyone help and explain what I am doing wrong please? I am going crazy

is it because you have hills and hollows in the white?
and the dips look like shadows?

could it be from taking the pink over the white?

Thanks for responding so quickly I really appreciate it

well erm now I had to think about that, honestly, I dont think so as I file and buff to be smooth as a babies.. I try not to use too much acrylic to ensure not to have to file too much therefore, creating too much dust, but enough acrylic to create a nice apex and c curve. Any other ideas?

pink over white, well I thought it might be that as for a time I was using the darker pink, but went back to the lighter pink and its not that either....

is your ratio for the white too wet resulting in marbeling?

its just i was on creative training in leeds today and the ammbasador said the pink should sit up to the white not go over it.

oh wow marbeling, now I hadnt heard of that, thats great thanks so much and I think that might be it. I am working too wet!!! Also, I was bringing the pink over the white.... Now thats helped so much, I cant thank you enough. Doing another 2 sets tomorrow lets see what happens.

Bye for now and thank you both
xxxx

glad we helped
thats why this site is soo great x

ps i sometimes take a bit of pink over the white as i smooth it out, but i know it will be buffed away when i refine the shape so it wont dull the white
