hi everybody, you may already know I'm still training in hairdressing. I need a bit of help my friend did my roots i have wella koleston 12/1 with 40% and combed it through. It's made my roots yellow almost ginerish and my blonde already is white. Please can you help where we went wrongand also how i can correct it.

thank you very much x

Hi , you must be around a base 5 /6 to throw off orangey tones ?
if so you may have been better using 12 /11 on the roots to counteract any orangey tones
but dont take the 12/11 through to the ends at all though
as this will be far to ashen

for now(as long as your scalp isn't sore ) you could use a 10/1 with 9% on the roots only ,
dont take it through the ends at all though as it will go too ashen

Tip :
never take an ash through the ends of porous blonde or highlighted hair
or you will get khaki or grey grab , :) hth

if the ends needs toning swap over to a natural corresponding /0

eg 10/1 on the roots , swap to 10/0 for the ends and a pastel %

Its called root glow ! try using a semi something like a warm base 9 and /or have a few bleach foils . Ive never seen a hi-lift scalp application with 12% thats turned out well without foils to break it up . . i think its that the warmth from the scalp just makes it go mad
