Hello, I finally signed my contract for nail space within a busy hairdressing salon. The owner says i need Business Insurance aswell as Public Liability Insurance. What is business insurance? And where can i get them both from? Thankyou

hi i get mine from professional beauty direct. they are great because they specialise in our business. everytime i add another treatment to my, i give them a quick ring and instantly added.

my nail tech is self employed and think she pays £50 average per year
when i was working alone mine was £90 average per year
now i have my own salon insurence i pay £47 per month and includes treatment cover, liability etc
oh and magazine subscription too

hope this helps

I did a Google search for public liability insurance for a nail technician and found a company at the top called Ashburnham Insurance.

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR NAIL TECHNICIAN

I paid £52.66 for the year for £1,000,000 cover.

Hope this helps

Georgie x

I've just renewed my insurance this year and found Salon Gold to be very competitive and staff very knowledgeable (prob spelt that wrong!!)

We have specific nail tech insurance at £48.50 and that gets you £3m public liability !

You just need insurance to cover your trade from a reputable company.
Salon Gold do cover for a nail tech for £37.80 for a year. That includes public, products and treatment liabilty. That will cover you for what you need :)
