:lol::lol: this made me laugh.
what lovely natural smile lines she has though, just a shame about the toe nails, lol .xx

Where exactly was the interesting bit??

I don't agree with the perfect ratio of pink to white thing either.

Who says that whatever is perfect? For sure you can see it looks hideous when the proportion of white is too long, but the pink to white ratio can look absolutely beautiful (more beautiful in my opinion) at much shorter lengths for the white. Like 1 part white to 3 parts pink.

The toes are gross!

The Golden ratio theory is just that, a theory, but there has been a lot of science and research behind it and it might be something to consider the next time you are looking at a client's nails.

Of course it is more important to make the nailbed look feminine than simply following a rule, after all your clients want feminine nails don't they?

This is a professional site goodsela, whilst I'm sure we appreciate your intentions, it's a bit like trying to teach someone to suck eggs when they're already an egg sucker :!:

We know what our clients want and expect of us, we are professional nail technicians who have trained hard and spent a lot of money to get where we are.

No offence intended but I don't really think that your site has a place here.

and no offence intended Valencian, but if these points are so well known then why are there so many bad French nails out there? Surely this is the place to discuss it.

Wow some freeky & gross nails on there...makes me feel sick just looking at them

There is no science or research behind a design theory and attractive proportions .... please. I have taught for 25 years, that idealy, the free edge should not be longer than one half the length of the nail bed, which is 2/3 to 1/3. Of course many exceed this ratio and some go less. Each to their own.

Enhancement is about enhancing the look of the nails ... that is our job as professionals.

As to your comments to Valencianails, we have discussed it many times here on the nail geek and a search will provide you with allot of information on the subject that is, if you will forgive me for saying so, a lot more in depth than the info on your site. But that is just my opinion.

The link to the science is in the article.

And this rule of your is part of it if you look!

There is really no need to be rude. Simply reading the article properly would be enough to make an informed comment.

I'm not being rude ... just straight. You missed my point entirelywhich was ... that what I have been teaching for 25 years is nothing new on your site.

I read and digested the 'article'. I even understood it. It wasn't very difficult, deep or profound. I also think my comments were VERY informed ones.
