IPL skin reaction Help!

Hi Everybody
I'm after some help and advice on IPL. Had a customer come to me for a facial today wanting help to clear her skin from what she called acne on the sides of her face and cheeks. During the consultation i found out that she has been having IPL treatment on the same area. I don't do IPL myself and don't know much about it. Could it cause this kind of reaction?
Should say when i looked closely i did think that it could be folliculitis. Please help i had a very upset customer that i really would like help.

From my experience ipl would not cause acne infact it may help the condition.
