woops, cant seem to be able to edit the title ..meant to say train in eyelash extensions!

im 13 weeks pg, i wanted to train with nouveau lashes sooner than later but it appears the dates for purley are almost booked up and i dont really want to have to travel to yorkshire

dont quite have the money to book immediately anyway, so was going to have to leave for a few weeks - do you think it would be safe to train when im 6-7 mths .. ie is there much bending, stress on the tummy area or will i just be bending my head/kneck to look down.. iykwim ?
also, are the fumes from the glue dangerous, or will i have some sort of mask on anyway?

would really appreciate your thoughts / advice, many thanks

hi, i cant comment on the fumes as im not trained in eyelash extensions - but i am starting an eye treatments course on monday (tinting/shaping) and will be 36 wks pregnant - im currently in college doing hairdressing 3 days a week and in salon placement 1 day so am constantly on my feet and bending over backwashes/cleaning workstations etc but am totally fine with this just as long as i take it easy in the evenings! basically i think it'll be how you feel personally and how you think you'll manage

Nouveau dont allow you to lash a lady when she is pregnant, so may be worth checking with them! If I were you I would worry more about having to lug your stuff about when pregnant! You are going mobile arnt you? Look after yourself lady, lol:hug:

thanks for both replies, will double check with nouveau - might just be best to leave training until i have the baby

Hi there,
I'm scanning thru old threads to find out if it is poss to train in eyelash extensions when pregnant, this seems to be the only one......Blush09 were u able to train? Im booked on a course and just found out i'm expecting. If i can't I will have to cancel.

Hi - yes you can, I have lots of pregnant ladies attend my courses. The glues that we use are safe, eu and ISO approved. However you must ensure that you wear a carbon filter ffp3 mask both on the day and whenever lashing - this applies to any lash tech out there. Make sure you work at your pace and take breaks when you can. When it comes to lashing pregnant ladies insurance will cover you but as a tech I choose not to because we live in a massive compensation culture in the U.K. And if anything was to happen to that unborn child I will not want to be blamed despite it being nothing to do with eyelashes
