I have today applied for registration for Nail Olympics next year.

Aaaah my first ever competition.

Now can anyone let me know what the judges look for for L & P Tip Overlay.

Obviously competition nails are probably completely different from salon nails, was just wondering if anyone else on here had entered in competitions and what I should be practising.

Now I am getting nervous!

GoodLuckSam !!!!! I'm pretty sure your'e right about Comp nails.I believe them to be alot finer than your everyday/ Nails. How EXCITING for U!!!! Try not to be tooo nervous. I have not applied yet as not decided on my catagory - but have model and I have started practicing - thinking of doing gel so then its only one day - dont fancy going to london for 2 days as I understand the awards (as if lol) are on the Monday so you'd have to wait around...can any one confirm that?

No advice I'm afraid but I just thought I'd say good luck and hope to see you there. I've entered for sculptured L&P.........first comp i've ever done and i'm nervous but quite excited. It'll be fab experience for me. Hope to see you there!
