I sculpt with liquid and powder. lately been finding that as soon as the bead is put on the nail it is quite un moveable. i have tried making my beads wetter, i have changed the head on my brush for a new one but still happening.

can it be because some of my customers have had nails on constantly for years? should they take a break? surely people go on and on without taking a break from it. can powders go funny after a while?
:sad::?::?::?::?:

It is probably the hot weather effecting the monomer. Store your monomer in a cool place and you should find it is better. Some girls even store theirs in the fridge! ;)

Yep im one of them who stores their monomer in the fridge (I buy a gallon and decant into 4oz bottle), spare fridge its got all my tanning stuff and monomer, turned down really low. I find working a little bit wetter or/and quicker smaller beads helps:D

Ezflow high definition has a longer setting time you have a lot longer to move it around etc that's why it's given in the beginners kit.

I think the same as the others hun, It's the weather...
In the salon over the last few weeks I have had the odd bead almost set as I am placing it onto the nail, I have had to wipe onto a pad and pick up again.
with the hairdriers in there too, you can imagine the heat !

Even maybe if you just keep a cup of cold water at your table and keep your bottle of monomer in it to keep it cool, and just redo throughout the day.

In winter you may find the oposite.. sometimes you may have to then warm it up a little instead..
Heat speeds up the curing process, and cold slows it down..

Silly me uses Moxie the most too, which is a faster setting monomer lol.. I am working rapidly to try and keep up lmao. Must put Retention + on my next order :o

thanks to you all for replying. was starting to think i had lost it after 5 years+. it is in the fridge right now.

:D

I was getting realy frustrated over past couple weeks too, I HATE seasonal changes when using L and P, I find temperature effects it so much more than people realise. I have now got used to applying a wetter bead and as soon as I get into the habbit it will be winter again and Il have to work drier again... grrrrrr:twisted::twisted::twisted: xxxx
