Lavendar Skulls for Wedding Nails?

Yes, you read that correctly.

I have a bride to do for her wedding. She wants lavendar, and skulls.

(her hubby to be is my ex-bf who is a guitar/musician from ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm near 15-20yrs ago? Yes, lil conservative me dated a guy who smoked pot etc and had longer hair than myself :lol: and wore nearly as much makeup as me when on stage- ugh, the 80's ROFL:lol

Ok, back to the topic.

She wants lavender, purple and skulls.

PLEASE anyone with something easy re: skulls? The wedding is the 4th of August and I do her nails the thursday before. How does one make "skulls" look wedding like and classy??

(PS: she's getting dips so they'll easily soak off, and can't afford to keep up uv gels. I also have lavender tips somewhere BUT I haven't seen how long/short her nails are.. so am reserving judgement till I see them as to whether or not the lavender french tips should be applied or a french painted on)

how about polishing the whole nail a lovely shade of lavender ( instead of tips) with white skulls....... and instead of making the detail stand out with black use gray instead?
this would make it appear more subtle......ooohhh...you could also put a white glitter on the skulls.....

Have you had a look at the gothic sites, I found a gothic site once that did things for nails I will search the web and try and find it, will get back to you soon.

i would go for all over lavender nice pale one, and use glitter white for the skulls, maybe not on all nails though, and i like the idea of using grey instead of blak for the detail

or maybe do classic french and paint lavender skulls on, that would look subtler (is that a word lol)

What about lavender glitter tips and then skulls just on the ring fingers and like Melissa said I would opt for white, Or different lavender shades in a glitter blend topped with white skulls. Is this a church wedding and what will the groom be wearing braids lol

actually i have seen skull transfer/sticker type things before now, cant remember where though, probably my local market, why dont you search the net for sticker skulls, think the ones i seen were silver ones and gold ones though, so they might not be what you want

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, not a bad idea and melissaq is from your part of the world. Grey is softer and the glitter would be fab.

scroll down to open pager, then when the window opens , click online members (at the top in bolder writting)
on the drop down menu, click "pager messages"
this will then bring up all of your sent and recieved messages, you can either select all and delete , or just delete the ones you dont want to keep. hth xxx

Wild card but here goes....... lavender with just the cross bones in silver or white glitter on all the fingers, then with a skull on the ring finger only.

click on Quick links...open pager...then in pager box click on on line members...then in windo click on pager messages....it will be your in box...DELETE them...then click on inbox and it will drop down for sent items..DELETE them ...and you will no longer be a numpty!!!!

May I add that when I read your pager msg Victoria, my screen went blank and told me to refresh my page. When I typed lavender and skulls into google I got the same thing. Something odd going on here, lol.

Hey , the bride was gonna wear black until her mom and daughter threw hissy fits LOL

As for the hubby, my hair is now longer than his. So no, no braids LOL
Although, I'm pretty sure the band will play at the wedding LOL

Um yes, small church ceremony for family only. Then big reception for everyone.

I like the idea of glitter, and using grey to compliment lavendar.
I do have lavender glitter, and also grey and lavender acrylic paints.
I do have some silver too.
And a silver metal polish.
And silver foils.

Ummmmm what to do? How to make it "classy"? LOL
Am I dreaming in technicolor? HAHA

I've been practicing painting a skull.. not the greatest, but definately looks like a skull. No time for decals to get here, unfortunately. :irked:

I did a practice skull just the other day, and it had to be pretty big to fit the rhinestones for the eyes ( to make it proportionate?), and so, too big for a ring finger :cry:

This is my abysmal skull from the other day. Pic is not the greatest, i think the rhinestones caused glare ROFL

I DEFINATELY have to practice this puppy, and add shading and such, to make it more realistic and improve the over all shape. UGH

i think the skull painted in glitter white or lavender would be ok actually, its not a bad shape and its obvious wot it is, if she wants something as obscure as skulls ffs, she will have to take what shes given lol, by the way love those nails in the pics, lovely
