I wondered if you had any thoughts of this. do you have any favourites?

Do you find your acrylics just dont wear well?

I use entity mostly and a creative for pink and whites and I know this might sound a bit strange, but they seemed to wear well in winter but in summer some of ladies are coming back in with nails that look weathered and a bit hammered.(entity mainly).

Am just after peoples opinion . do your nails look good when its time for the backfill?

What can i do to change this? My application is good, no lifting, no bubbles. But they look a bit , well battered and not as nice as when they left the shop.

My clients all seem happy with them, no complaints, am busier than ever before with recommendations. I just wondered if anyone gets this?

Hi Tigi,

Wear and tear is natural and unavoidable, I'm sure if your clients never touched a thing they would look perfect on return, but of course you can't help what they get up to...

The interesting comment is that one brand holds up better than the other. as always in this life you get what you pay for eh...

You've answered your own question and had the results proved to you in a very noticeable way by your clients.

There is no product in the world that lasts better than Creative Nail Design products. They don't break down, they never yellow, they don't become brittle, you rarely see breakages, they stay looking beautiful month after month after month ... this is why CND users and wearers are so loyal to the brand; it is no coincidence. :green:

I've noticed the 'wearing issue' during the summer on 1 or 2 clients and after digging around finding out what they do different I've come to the conclusion it's mainly down to a change in lifestyle over the summer.
Gardening and outside heavy activites are the main culprits.
One client of mine went through the whole winter without a single break or lifting and as soon as the nice weather arrived she was out in the garden and suprise suprise she's in that week with 2 busted nails and lifting.

It's not a product thing...it's a client thing

Breakages can sometimes be a client thing, but dinginess, yellowing, brittleness and regular breakages are definitely a product thing.

Oh I agree with that the dinginess and yellowing is probably down to the product but to have no breakages all winter and then come the summer she comes in with hands looking like she's used her nails to uproot a tree... I swear this woman must have left her tools out all winter and thought 'hey ho I'll just use these little handy things on the end of my fingers'

In saying that a good quality product does make a BIG difference.

I had that with Young before I switched to CND I felt you HAD to use either UV topcoat or Finish. Whilst finish is an excellent product not all clients want gel top coat and also its expensive to buy. Then you have clients who didnt want a blue tinge from the uv topcoat................ i switched to CND

THank you for your thoughts. I think I may conduct some further trials. Geeg and other creative users, please will you advise me? during my cnd conversion i was only given the chance to trial pink and whites and the pots we were given were not labelled.
SO, i need a shopping list, i do lots of naturals, what powders would i buy for them? and for pink and whites, what would be your fav powders for those? and monomer, is it just the one?
is a top coat needed? and lastly will CND run me very quickly the process? I do have a conversion certificate, its just i have been using entity mainly and want to be sure i am performing the process correctly.( going back to the people i performed the course with is not an option).

thank you for helping me with this. I want my clients to LOVE their nails as much i love making them.

It seems that you did not do your conversion with a CND ambassador as they all work with kits and never would use or hand out unlabeled products. That is not CND style. Perhaps you could pm me re this.

I would use PERFECT NATURAL Powder or PERFECT CLEAR for the completely natural look if you are not doing P&W.

PERFECT PINK and PERFECT WHITE or PERFECT SOFT White powders for P&W.

YOU have a choice of 3 monomer liquids being RADICAL, RETENTION+ and MOXIE(fast setting). ALL have the same mix ratio and the same PREP routine and all are primerless monomers which has been a CND signature for more than 15 years (why anyone still uses a system that needs primer I can't imagine when they don't need to).

I suggest you do a Conversion Class with CND and GET ALL YOUR FACTS RIGHT FROM THE START. The kit you get on the class will contain everything you need.

hi Geeg

I have just PMed you, hope it all makes sense and have just checked my CND certificate and it all seems in order.

It was advertised as a conversion class with CND , but maybe once you have read my message, you will be better able to advise me.
