Does anyone know what adhesive is used in the Lucinda Ellery hair extension system, in the video its stating its a rubber compound, I had a client who has recently been for a consultation at Lucinda Ellery and they fitted a couple of bonds which to the touch felt like a soft rubber. They reminded me of the rubber solution that you get when your bank card arrives attached to the letter lol.

Does anyone have any idea.

Lol  you big tease   so was there any point in telling us that bit of info then   ? lol

I think Raccoon may use the same rubbery feeling bonds too  x minky

why not call as a customer and ask i have people asking what i use which is fine..

When my client comes tomorrow I am going to remove the bonds she has in her hair and send them to my adhesive suppliers and they will do a test on it to see whats in the bond.

i dont think its racoon adhesive as they use a polyamide adhesive which I have used for years, the same one as racoon but I dont pay racoon prices.

I will be supplying it soon!!!!!!!!! Watch this space

cause it took me years to develop.

it can be crimped over and over and over. heat resistant water resistant and chemical resistant. Dose not break down.

Wow there are some really exciting things going on  are you going to have all different kinds of bonding materials Persianista ?
can't wait to see the site :)

Hi lusciouslox oh fab :) I didn't know you actually sold the bonding materials separately ? that really is good news then  as I thought you only sold pre tipped hair on the site , there's nothing worse than knowing about a really good bonding product that you just can't get a hold of,

So have you got a link to let us know the details of your prices per packs of bonding products etc ?
and whether they come in little chips or sticks or pellets ? if so could you let me know as I would be most interested in trying them out ?
samples would be great thanks  x minky

The samples are of the hair with our tip or 3 types of tips to suit the 3 rings we provide. As much as i would like to share this i cant. the glue was developed by me and also for another company here i oz.
It has taken years of R&D to develop these products and it would be brand suicide to release its natural ip.
i know eventually it will be copied but i take my hat off to who ever gets it right cause i personally know what it took.
:)

Hi, lusciouslox sorry but ..... I am not too sure we're singing from the same page here  lol
I think we may have crossed wires somewhere along the way

I am just searching to try out some other types of good bonding materials for pre tipping loose extension hair , to use with heat connectors for the pre bonded hair extension method,

but just to re cap....
The bonding material you use is a very strong flexible pre bond but only made to use with your 3 ring products ?

and your bonding material isn't suitable for the heat melting pre bonded method ? and this is why its not sold separately ?
thanks  x minky

I took out the bonds that my client had fitted at Lucinda Ellery and they broke down with acetone and crumbled just like a polyamide adhesive. Could be the same adhesive I suppose

Hi lancashirelass thats a very good point
and this is where am a little confused  as I think that lusciouslox extensions may differ greatly in composition from Lucinda Ellery's
(about it breaking down)

Lucinda Ellery's can be heat melted into the clients own hair
and they can be taken out after the bonds have been broken down with acetone ,

but.... above on lusciouslox post it says they do not break down at all
with any chemicals etc ,
(so it's more of a permanently made chemical resistant tip )

so I am thinking .... to myself that the bonds lusciouslox describes
are to be used with the 3 micro rings
(but strictly for using only cold techniques)

from what I can make out they are not meant for melting into the clients own hair ....
as this would be like melting a chemical resistant silicone into the hair
which would be nigh impossible for a client to remove.

but I could be entirely wrong  lol x minky

Hi Minky
My experience with heating bonding is limited as i never ventured into that direction years ago when i never saw the point after being exposed to reusable systems that don't require the cumbersome effort.

The bonding Materials we use can be used to make 3 types of tips.We did this for several reasons;
The Nano (newest most popular) very low detection.
The lox tip was developed 2 years ago and uses the same glue but the rings are lager than the Nano but still smaller that the average micro ring currently used today (Nano ring is over shadowing this system now).

Then we have the the flexi tip which might be of interest to stylists that use the old style i-tip and ring.

So the flexi tip bonding is different to the first 2 systems as it needs to be able to be crimped time and time again without breaking down not like all the other i tips on the market do. But now that i explained this hence the name flexi tip. Minky you can use the flexi tip in and standard micro ring you may have at your salon.

Stylists also have the need to mix colors as well, so we offer a custom order service. This simply means that we can mix any color together of your choice as we do all the bonding in house in our specific bonding conditions.
Stylist also have the need for custom thickness .This means that we can double up the extensions so you can have more hair in every extension up to triple the thickness. With this option you only need 70-80 extensions and it would be the same as having 160 standard bonded extensions.

Our glue is not made to be re heated as its heat resistant and can outlast the hair extension even if you iron over the glue or bonds.
We don't sell the Glue separately for a few reasons. Firstly its very expensive to have made as it is made especially for us and we own the formula. Secondly the laws have changed and some of the bonding ingredients although safe in the hair they are not safe to ship or fly making it even more expensive to move even to get it to a packaging place. So we never went in that direction.
Hope i have covered your all questions. Sorry as didn't realize that you guys were actually looking for a rubbery glue that did break down.

Just used for pre boned micro ring systems.
I wouldn't like to see what would happen if the glue we use was used to bond it in permanently. lol.
I think you would have a difficult time removing it lol. Out come the clippers.

Lol  , that's what I was thinking too, so.... if the bond is very long lasting and doesn't break down at all , (and not made for heat melting)
and the hair is very good too , then it all seems like a really good reusable system , so good luck with it all , and well done , I do like the idea of smaller rings

Ps don't forget my samples :) lol x
