Hi everyone! Ok, to cut a long story short, I am a masseuse from Croatia currently in the UK. I love my work and really miss it, as hard that is to believe.. In my free time I plan to do some massages, on neighbors and family friends, so I don't lose my touch :) I would be happy to do them for a cup of tea, haha, but everyone I have spoken to about this wants to pay me and tell me to tell them my price, and they won't take no for an answer. Of course I wouldn't mind the extra money :) So my problem is I don't know how much to charge them? What would be a silly low price and up to what highest limit can I go to? Any advice please!
Thanks!

Christina

I charge £35 an hour, best thing to do is have a look on the Internet for therapists near you and see what they charge.

Hi Christina,
I also charge £35 for full body massage per hour, but am in a salon so i have overheads to cover.

It might be a good idea to get some price lists of salons round your area and look in your local paper to see if you can find out what mobile therapist charge.

If I was you i would probably charge £20 for a full body massage, & £10 for back neck and shoulder.

Hi christina

It all depends on your location and if your mobile, home salon, renting or have your own salon.

When I was mobile I charged £20, but now that I rent my own salon out ive been charging £28 for the hour but I am relocating to another area so i will be dropping it too £25.

The best thing to do is tomorrow go to all the hair & beauty salons in your area, collect price lists.

What I did with the price lists was make a menu ie if you have four salons write each salon down and make a block and then compare each of there prices and go a little bit below there prices,,, NEVER make your prices too low as people often think are you good at what you do and NEVER have your prices too high its a putt off straight away.

I hope this is ok pm me if you need anymore advise,

good luck and I wish you well.:)

I charge £25 per hour, raising to £27 in December for an hour, and £18 raising to £19 in December for 30 minutes.

Hi,

I charge £28 for a full body massage for 1 hour and £15 for Back, neck & shoulder massage which is 30 mins.

I charge £31 for an hour.

I charge £50 for an hour and 15mins. It keeps me motivated! Surely if you're charging you would need to pay tax on the money, not sure if asking for a donation would get around this? Then you could say "pay what you can afford but usually people give me between £... and £..."
