Hi Everyone,

First I wanna say hello, im new to this and have found your posts very interesting.

Im a mobile therapist and at the moment am using the pot and spatula wax pots. Ive had a couple of accidents with it spilling all over the sides. does anyone have any tips or wonderful ideas on the best ways to clean the wax off. At the moment ive been using white spirit but still find it stays quite sticky.

Tell me your secrets please!!!:)

I had same prob - whole pot spilled... total nightmare then I got the wax euipment cleaner and wow it sorted it out brilliantly my pot looks like new again and has taken it off floors, surfaces etc

Does wax equipment cleaner really take it off? All the ones ive used before dont really do anything other then clean the pot, doesnt work on actual spillages.

I'm using the prowax one - think it was from beauty express I got it - and so far cleaned up any spills I've had

Another question as well, what are you using to transport your wax in? Ive been using the box it came in but it is now starting to get abit tatty and with my resent spillage think it may be ruined!!!

Put tin foil over the top before you put the lid on.

I stick my 2 wax pots in a plastic box with a lid and have all my other bits (Wax strips, spatulas, oil, pre cleanse, cotton wool etc) in between them and around them and they never spill!!
Also I never fill my pots with wax right to the top....done that once....and oh boy I will never do that again....!!

I have also found that when cleaning the wax pot it's easier if the pot is a little warm as it melt's the excess wax and removes really easily.

BTW - welcome to the site! x

Wax equiptment cleaner. its oily so no sticky residue.

I once had a big accident with a whole pot of wax all over our floor. I used acetone and it just cut right through. i wouldnt use acetone to often, only if its a lot of wax that has cooled.

Yeah a repeat what the others say, wax equipment cleaner and i use tissue to wipe it off and it works really well. nothing beats a nice clean wax pot :)
