Hi All,

Just completed my first Pamper Evening last weekend and I was thrilled - it went really well. At this one, I offered file, buff and hand lotion or hand and arm massage. Both treatments went well and I also sold some "pamper packs" made up of small scentsations, the hologram butterfly files and a couple of sample bits and pieces.

On the night, I was approached by someone who has subsequently booked me for another in May - potentially a much larger one.

My question is... I'm doing my Minx training very shortly and had an idea to do a Minx demo at the next pamper evening - hoping this might help to generate some bookings. I thought about taking an existing nail client/friend with me and Minxing her toes... What do you think? Has anyone tried this and if so - what were the results?? Just thought it would be something a little different marketing wise.... just in time for summer??

Thanks, Kirsty :green:

I think that would be a great idea,
i would do the demo on the host though as a free treat for placing the booking, she will then tell others that she got an extra treat for making the booking and show off her toes to everyone,
this will give you fantastic word of mouth advertising and cost you very little, hth

Fab. Sorry I didn't quite explain it right though it's a "Ladies Night" being held at a high school. Probably approx 20/30ish "stalls" where we all pay a fee to be there and then charge for our services provided on the night. Public get free entry and then have a look around each stall and choose what to have done on the night.

The one I did over the weekend had a reflexologist, a guy doing the Bowen technique, someone doing eyebrow shaping, a psycich (who was fully booked from the word go), someone doing hair demos, a body shop rep, etc, etc. It was in aid of raising money for the local pre-school and they just charged us for our stall and then for refreshments.

Sorry - re-reading my first post it doesn't quite give that impression!!!!

Anyone else tried this??

Iv done a few ladies evenings and find them quite a good way of attracting new clients. Minx would be a great idea to demo as its a quick and easy process. Although maybe a little costly? It may be worth having your own nails minxed to generate interest that way. Just a thought as the minx isnt cheap, and you dont want people just "having a go" . Or, you could do mini pedis and minx the big toes? At least you would get the mini pedi price. Its always tricky deciding what to demo, good luck x

Hey,

I was thinking of going down the same route as last time with the shape, buff and lotion or hand and arm massage and just doing one Minx demo. Maybe say half way through the night. Mentioning to people as they arrive (may even get the hubby to walk round the crowd with little leaflets to say Minx Demo - my stall location and time)...... I agree it wouldn't make sense to offer to all was thinking more of just the one demo. To show people how quick and easy it is.

On the last one I put up the Minx chart from S2 with all the designs on and it generated so much interest but I think if they could actually see how quick and fanatastic it is it might help to secure some bookings for it.

Ahhh yes i see, that would be a fab idea!

At a very small cost of 6.95 you could demo Minx 20 or more times during the evening ......... it would be very exciting to your audience and causes instant WOW. I do not call this expensive, but money well spent even if you only got one booking from it, it would pay for your minx.

Work it out guys before being negative regarding the cost ... work it out.
