Is any one else finding that their minx file goes blunt after 5 applictions?
no amount of washing seems to get it to work, and I have to say that I'm not happy that will have to by a new file every 5 minx I do....:irked:
The first couple I did were really quick to file and then yesterday I had a nightmare filing it off, its only the 5th application that I had used it for it just wasnt happening, my client wasnt too impressed either as I really struggled on the last hand and it took the timing upto over 40 mins

Not sure if it helps, but Im sure that i read that the file has to be scrubbed thoroughly, as any bits of minx on the file will make it blunt. Also, the angle of the file can help with the filing. Do a little search on minx and I am sure you will find a bit of help. Apologies if Iv told you stuff your already doing, lol!

I'm still using the origianl file I bought with my Minx 6 months ago.

It is a bit smoother than it was but it still works for me.

Can't say what you might be doing but I do wash my file after every client.

I had the same problem. I scratch a normal against my minx file to sharpen it up a bit. Sometimes, even after washing it I still find bits on there.

Hi Jen,
I brought a Diamond Dust File from Ellisons costs £1.75 + Vat & is great for doing Minx I have personally done 8 sets with this sometimes using my minx file just to get into corners on toe nails (where these are shorter)

Here is a pic of the file
